Don't move here... Seriously. Avoid at all costs. It's all flash and glitter but really a terrible place.

Before you read this, understand that it's almost the same price to rent a 3 bedroom house as it is to rent here... Just saying, however, if you're still interested then read at your discretion:

- The appliances are cheap - like the cheapest they could buy that look silver
- Units are always dusty - I have a HEPA filter in the suite ac/heater and another air cleaner and it's still always dusty - where does it even all come from (definitely not from cleaning the vents regularly).
- The common areas are rarely cleaned - don't ever use the theater/games room
- The elevators are often unavailable because cleaning staff horde them during rush hours
- The building alarm goes off a few times a month - and always in the middle of the night
- There homeless people walking around inside the building... Seriously, there was a homeless guy standing in my parking space one day screaming and looking at the exposed waste pipes
- the maintenance staff are the only people who work hard here and they're always too busy
- The cameras don't work, people have resorted to doorbell cams on the front of their units to feel secure
- There's no concierge even though there is a desk for it
- Some jerk parks his Grey AMG 65 Mercedes SUV in the round about for hours at a time like its his personal parking place... But he lives here with me in this building... Haha
- Speaking of parking, they increase it as part of your rent, so 2.5% more every year (even though they separate the charge from the unit)
- People smoke weed inside the building and your unit unit will smell like weed all the time
- The water is either too hot or too cold (often both during the same shower)
- The shower is weak, weak like the stream of an old man with an enlarged prostate
- They use Wyse Utilities to meter your connections who are less responsive than the fake email they will soon respond to this... I was away for a month from my unit and still receive a bill for almost $60 - most of which was their fees
- The gym is ok and probably the best maintained thing here (because it suckers people into renting here since everything else sucks)
- The other good thing is once a year they have a bbq with hotdogs and Nestlé ice-cream cones/bars
- There is something planned every month to disturb you - water shut off, power shut off, alarm testing, meter accuracy reading, and loads of other things.
- There was wall paper in the front lobby falling off the walls for years (even though it's a 5 year old building) and they finally cleaned it up ONLY because the prime minister of Canada used the outdoor balcony on the 9th floor as a stage to promote affordable housing (which this place is not)
- Unit walls are thin like paper
- Not enough cabinet space
- The washroom sinks smell like sewage - not sure how the smell is getting past the trap but damn...
- The mini dog area they have is full of poop, you can't walk out the back of the building without stepping in doog poop, even though owners should pick it up.
- The office staff think it's respectful to put a paper notice on your door so they can enter 48 hours later - and they enter your unit several times per year for various things - so don't expect privacy here.
- OH, did I mention the laundry here is downstairs and will cost you about $5 to run a load through x4 loads/week x52 weeks = $1040 — the cost of a washer AND dryer folk's! Yet another profit centre... and and if that's not bad enough, the machines are not maintained and eat up your credits with no clear way to get a refund.

- here's what I want to say to executive management - I get you're greedy, and when you did your capital plan for this building, you budgeted to rent units for between $1300-$1800 to be decently profitable... But damn, you all are greedy! @primeminister

When I say don't move here, unless you want to be sold a bag of lies, disrespect all around, truly, truly, find another building because Medallion doesn't care about you - only their investment

I don't feel safe anymore. I've lived in the building for a couple of years and the security is lacking big time. There's a man that sleeps in the buzzer area at night and broke the buzzer screen. Security gets him to leave and then he just comes right back. He spits and swears and threatens people. He also defecates around the building and it just gets left there. He's been yelling at the top of his lungs for the last half hour. This is what $2000 in rent gets you.

I am happy to inform you that no one in this building is responsible for anything. I had my boxing gift stolen right under my door ($200) and was told that the cameras can't track anything and do anything about it (so no one can reimburse me for my $200)! There are tons of homeless people walking around the building with no problem and they can steal anything, also there is no security and no security at all in this building. I pay almost 2,500 dollars for any homeless person to live under my door. I don't recommend this attitude to anyone. When they steal a bag under my door again - I will call the police and let them solve all these problems, the security of this building is of no use. I also wanted to write about the cleanliness of this building for a long time - no one keeps it clean and there are no maids in this building at all, pets leave traces on the carpeting, in the elevators and this stench is almost everywhere.

To whom it may concern,

I’m taking time to write this review on medallion as it has been a favourable residence at most despite the couple of hiccups here and then.

The building has an up to date gym with new equipment, gaming room, theatre room, and skate rink outside amongst many other perks. A-1 indeed. Only downside as mentioned by many is aggression and behavioural issues from intoxicated or mentally ill outsiders. They hang in the building staircases in groups and are very intimidating as they’re clearly not in the right mind state.

Otherwise, we appreciate Stephon at most as he has assisted in necessary measures that best fit our values, concerns, and lifestyle. He’s a go to if speaking to higher management. Believe when we say, he’ll go out of his way to figure what best fits your family structure, standards to lifestyle and genuinely does his job.

Also, Robyn, from 73 Bayly St W management. She’s a charm. Very responsive, quick and her adherence to tenant needs. Thanks Robyn !

For what you have to gain or lose. You choose. We’d highly recommend Bayly Square for so many reasons than writing space this review will permit.

Oh we forgot to mention a rent price that’s much cheaper than anywhere else. It’s worth it guys !

The worst management. All bunch of liars or they just never respond to you. Maintenance keeps getting passed on or delayed for months after having to go to the office numerous of times, place reeks of smoke, fire alarms go off at random times due to people smoking and management does nothing about it. No hot water for months, no parking available, laundry room is always full of people never picking their clothes up on time, rent is high. Avoid at all costs

There are a lot of 1 star reviews but I want to share my own experience.

I’ve been at 73 Bayly since April. From the beginning management was helpful to me getting in. I was moving from out of town, so I was a bit frustrated that you can’t sign a lease without physically viewing the apartment (no virtual tours, no proxy’s which is limiting). There was a turnover in staff while I was trying to get in, so the gentlemen who was originally trying to help me (who was super nice by the way. A huge loss that he’s gone) was then replaced by Justice (also SUPER nice but she was overworked and managed the load of at least 2 people. Hopefully they didn’t lose her too). I had to come to town on business, so Justice managed to schedule me a tour around my schedule. However, when I showed up, no one was at the rental office to give me the tour because it was during their lunch hour. That was frustrating, however after a few phone calls and emails justice herself ended up giving me a tour the following day. She showed me the apartment I was asking for, but after we talked she insisted on showing me one other place that was smaller then I wanted but had other things that made me fall in love with the place, which I ended up taking for the month I wanted - which now realizing the wait list to get in I either got incredibly lucky or was overly persistent. Another con is you need to physically sign the lease, Jo virtual signing which again was limiting, but made up for it by being incredibly accommodating to me by waiting until the next time I was in town which was a few days to my moving day. When move it day came, we went through the usual process, but I could only move in on the Friday, to which the loading dock was fully booked, but was told that I can still parking behind the building if I can make it work. Annoying, but not the worst thing. Luckily, someone who booked the loading dock was finishing up and let me use it when they were done, which was great. I then ended up getting yelled at by one of the supers because “no one told him I was moving in that day” which was weird because I had signed the lease and made it work with the individuals loading the dock, but turns out he was just incredibly stressed out and likely also over worked, I have since developed a nice relationship with him & the other super. The one who got angry at me even helped me move my couch in which was above and beyond, the other literally took it upon himself to come to my unit with me one day to show me how to turn on my AC after he got it turned on early due to the heat which was super nice. My experience since has been great. My unit is lovely, the gym and BBQs are great, my only real complaints are people smoking in the stairwell, the washer/dryer breaking down quite a bit (but there are so many washers and dryers it’s never been a barrier to me doing laundry), and the wall paper in the ground floor falling down which looks unprofessional and tacky. I’ve personally never experienced bugs, and also never experienced management being neglectful in responding to unit maintenance. I’ve only had one, and he literally came within 12-24 hours of me putting him the request. The management seem competent, just overworked, which is clearly a systemic issue. We do pay a relatively high rent so the small things listed really should be an issue if I’m being honest. Everywhere has its kinks tho, it’s not always perfect. All in all if you’re a low maintenance individual I think you will have a good experience at 73 Bayly. Cannot speak to 420 harwood.

Take a look at the reviews from fellow tenants and witness their shared frustration regarding the management and service provided. There is a glaring absence of commitment, coordination, and effective communication. The management exhibits a high degree of disorganization, lack of cooperation, and unprofessionalism. It is strongly advised against renting with them, as you will undoubtedly regret it. Personally, I made a significant mistake by choosing to rent from them. Even granting them a single star rating would be overly generous.

Thank you Google Reviews. I reached out to book an appointment and was provided with date and time. I chose May 25 and got the confirmation of my appointment. Two days later I received an email that my appointment was cancelled. No information provided. Called the rental office and was told there was no record of my appointment and that the unit was not available until August 1. I said that was fine with me. I was told to just show up and would see a small unit. I decided to re book through the website. 5 times my appointment was confirmed and 5 more times cancelled. Called the office today and left a detailed message around 1:50pm. No call back. Anyone else experience this?
