We didn't even need a realtor. We bought our home off of a friend and I thought a realtor would just get in the way of an otherwise friendly transaction, but I could not have been more wrong. Marwan Charanek at First Place Realty is the full package. I’ve been thinking for a long time how best to describe our interactions and relationship with Marwan and keep it brief but it’s tricky. He is simply the best. In every way that a realtor can be great, he is a 10 out of 10.
I am a fairly sceptical person. I think if someone seems calm, relaxed and fun, he can’t be hard working. If someone is really nice and makes a business interaction so enjoyable that I would practically want to do it voluntarily in my free time, then of course they must be sleazy and just really good at schmoozing people. By contrast if someone is hard working then they must be stuck up, boring and only focused on the work. So yeah, I’m pretty jaded.
In reality though, Marwan proved me wrong at every turn. I cannot praise this man enough. We loved every interaction we had with Marwan. We looked forward to him coming over when we had something to go over. He made everything quick and painless while also making sure we understood everything. Then we would jab each other a bit about our opposing hockey teams or chat about where things were at with packing and planning for the move. We got a great price selling our old home and an even better deal on the one we bought (which we love and is perfect for us). Even weeks after everything was done he would check in or we would randomly text him to ask about various things about realty, housing, the NHL or just life. As I said, I cannot say enough good things about our interactions with Mar!
