We dealt with Ryan Kestner for our one year walk-through and came away extremely unimpressed. From the initial walk-through to the interactions that followed, Ryan consistently deflected concerns we brought up and had an excuse for everything rather than addressing it. The trim around several of our windowsills had pulled away leaving a gap and we noticed other large gaps in the seams of our island corners and where the cupboards meet the wall. Ryan told us nothing could be done before quickly redirecting to show me how the air exchange worked which was something I had not brought up. Thankfully the painter who came in was much more willing to help and told us all those gaps should be filled with a silicone bead and was more than happy to do it for us. Next, I showed Ryan the front yard as the final grade sat about 6” below the front porch. I had placed 1 x 6 pickets along the base of the porch in an attempt to mitigate this. Ryan quickly resorted to his smoke and mirror tactics, telling me how great it looked and that sometimes there are ‘minor grade issues’, completely missing the point that I shouldn’t have had to fix this on my own in the first place. He also never once offered a grade adjustment or any other solutions. We booked the painter and finisher through Ryan who showed up the morning of their arrival asking if we had marked out all the areas the painter needed to touch up. This was never relayed to us verbally or through email and something Ryan could have easily passed along rather than passing the buck to us. While he was here, I asked him who was responsible for the front boulevard as we had assumed care of the residence with completely dead sod that was beyond bringing back. He told me the builder was but once again immediately started with his excuses stating they contracted MDL who no longer worked for them as if that was somehow my problem and would make me no longer want the boulevard fixed. He told me he would look into it but after 3 weeks and a follow-up email I have not received any update. To sum up dealing with Ryan it’s felt like dealing with a cheap used car salesman. His lack of integrity and ownership regarding issues I brought forward left me frustrated. As a customer care technician I was shocked he put more energy into diverting and deflecting concerns rather than working with me to address them. If Calbridge is comfortable with people of his character representing the face of their company I can confidently say I will not be buying another Calbridge home.

Had a great experience with the sales office when getting the initial information. But before their follow up they increased their price with $10.000. They where limited down to our top 3 of houses and we revisited the area to make a decision. The other two companies didn’t increase their prices yet but gave us a notice of honoring the purchase price for 90 days.
