This was my 2nd home and I had no intention of buying another house. I did not have my ducks in a row and he still made it possible for us. Wonderful experience with Cecilia D. - this is the second time I've worked with her. The first time was when we moved here from Vancouver and purchased our home in Calgary in 2015 and the second time was for a mortgage refinance. Both transactions went very smooth and she was able to get to get us a better rate than big banks. I initially reached out to Mr. Afkhami and left a detailed voicemail outlining my needs and requirements. Days went by without a response, which was already quite unprofessional. When I decided to give him another chance and called him again, he finally returned my call a few hours later, but the experience was nothing short of shocking.

From the moment he answered the phone, his attitude was nothing short of appalling. He spoke with an air of arrogance that was both off-putting and disrespectful. It felt as if he believed he was doing me a favor by acknowledging my call. His tone was casual, but not in a friendly or professional way. It was more akin to speaking to someone he considered beneath him, which is wholly inappropriate for a mortgage broker.

What truly bewildered me was his admission that he hadn't even bothered to listen to my initial voicemail. This revelation was alarming, as he clearly had the capability to call me back, indicating that he was aware of my message. In essence, he was caught in a lie and displayed no remorse or willingness to apologize for his negligence.

My experience with Ali Afkhami was utterly disappointing and unprofessional. I would strongly advise anyone seeking mortgage services to look elsewhere for a broker who values their clients and conducts themselves with the professionalism and courtesy expected in this industry.

Kaite Luo is the one of best brokers. I had very happy with her. I had meetings 3 specialists(BMO, RBC, HSBC) and 2 brokers.They made mistakes. Or too low affordable. I have felt they don't care of me. However, she had tried everythings she can do, and finally I am first home-buyer. For sure, lowest interest late like internet ad.
I would like to recommend to have a meeting with her, even you got a pre-approved. She will help you to get better conditions.
