We've been really happy living in this building. The location is great—quiet, yet just a short walk from a major shopping mall and other essentials. One of the things we appreciate most is how peaceful it is inside; the sound insulation is excellent, and we never hear our neighbors. Water and heating are included, which adds to the convenience. The laundry room in the basement is clean and well-maintained, and the outdoor pool and tennis court are fantastic in the warmer months. The accessible entrance through the parkade is another thoughtful feature. Best of all, the management is genuinely friendly and easy to work with. And the view? It truly makes this place feel special—it's hard to beat.

Since Shawn and Tammy took over management at Horizon Tower, there’s been a noticeable improvement in how things are run. They’ve been doing a great job keeping the building organized and responsive to tenants’ needs. One recent example is the community yard sale they’re organizing — honestly, it’s about time! It’s a great idea to bring people together and build a sense of community. You can tell they genuinely care and are trying to make the building better for everyone. Keep it up! 💚

Naz and Tawseef have been outstanding managers, offering incredibly helpful guidance, professionalism, and approachability. While it's sad to see them go, their contributions to the building are deeply appreciated, and I wish them all the best in their future.
They're truly exceptional individuals., they will be missed.💙

JUST MOVED OUT!!! I lived here for 7 years, I was happy living here and the property management team use to be great. However this past year 2024 onward, the property managers are HORRIFIC and I can no longer live here. These NOTICE TYRANTS continuously harass tenants with rules and what they are doing incorrectly. They have no compassion and zero compromise if you try to work with them on an issue. They take pride in citing breach of tenancy and issue evictions, especially older tenants so they can renovate their suite and charge more rent: constant plumbing issues and frequent water shutdowns. Also, there is an ongoing pest issue in the suites(bedbugs and other insects). There is no accessibility for folks in wheelchairs/walkers and not even a brick to pry a door open. Living here is stressful and it is managed military-like. Even on my move out notice and before I moved out, constant notices of coming in to measure things and prep for renovation and I’m still packing. RUDE, no consideration. They also charge monthly rent on parking(increases yearly) and no visitor parking(use to be allowed but taken away). If you also park incorrectly in the wrong spot, expect to get your vehicle vandalized with a notice sticker blocking the drivers view. Used to be able to bring guests to the outdoor pool(no longer). Used to be able to use the party room with deposit(now you pay). Just horrible/mean building management now. I’m so glad to be out of here. I’ve written a letter to RealStar HQ with my experience and all I got was a “sorry for your experience “. For the high rent tenants pay, we deserve more compassion and respect. Beyond the Horizon is a living hell.

I attended an open house last weekend to view a 1-bedroom suite. Both the suites and the courtyard were very clean and well-maintained. Tausif was very professional and demonstrated excellent sales skills. He promoted the building with such confidence and knowledge that it felt like he owned it.

I’ve been living here for 5 months with my boyfriend and we’re super happy. It has all the amenities that we need and every time we have a problem everyone has been super helpful. It’s our first apartment since we arrived in Canada and after hearing other stories I’m definitely glad we chose to live here 😊

Super friendly property managers. We walked in on the day and they were able to show us a unit within minutes. They also offered us free chocolate bars and lovely conversation. The building seems lovely and we hope to be apart of it soon!

I’ve lived here for two years and I am very grateful to live in such a well managed and respectful community. Shawn Secord and Tammy McMartin are professional and talented in every manner. Considering the variety of their work this is quite an accomplishment. They don’t have to, but they love my dog and I appreciate them for that.

I stayed here with my partner and once wrote a review praising Horizon Towers, which I have since deleted. The current managers are highly disliked by majority of the tenants for the brusque, rude way they talk to people and the threatening notices that they give to the tenants on a frequent basis where they basically say that if you do not follow their rules it can impact your tenancy. But these rules are often new, communicated in a rude and harsh way. Where is the customer service? People are moving out more and more and those who are there worry that the managers will contrive a reason to get rid of them to raise the rent to newer tenants. Plus, the building is old, has pests, leaking issues. I suggest find some place else…
