I lived in this apartment building for 2 years and had such a positive experience. The management team especially Shawna and Ray were truly the best, always kind, responsive, and quick to help with anything that came up. The apartment itself was comfortable, well-maintained, and felt like home from day one. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

Relocated from Victoria and the process of renting an apartment was very smooth at MACDONALD ESTATES. I sent out an application online and the building Manager Shawna gave me a virtual tour of the apartment and help me process my online application step by step. Shawna is one point of contact for any assistance at Macdonald estates, she is very kind, cordial, generous and hospitable. I highly recommend this property for new renters in Edmonton.

I recently moved into the building and had a few questions about the apartment. Went to talk to Shawna who was very helpful. She is super kind and was able to answer all our questions and get our problems fixed very quickly. Ray, the who does maintenance in the building is also very nice and efficient with fixing things. Everyone at MacDonald is great, and helpful.

I had a terrible experience living in the apartment at 9925 Jasper. The unit was infested with cockroaches. They sprayed the unit five times, but the problem was never solved. When we moved the stove, we discovered old cockroach poison, which clearly showed that they already knew about the infestation but still rented the place to us.

The windows were not sealed properly, and in winter, strong cold winds would come in, making the apartment freezing. We had to keep the furnace running constantly just to stay warm. The building’s garbage chute was closed for the entire year we lived there. The building is extremely old, and one rainy night, water was pouring from the bathroom ceiling.

The hallway on our floor (11th floor) always smelled horrible, like a dirty washroom. The swimming pool only reopened after a whole year. The neighbors were constantly smoking weed or arguing loudly, making it very unpleasant to live there. The laundry room was always dirty and full of hair and dust.

The building manager(shawana) was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I complained about the cockroaches, she acted as if I was at fault and even suggested that I move to another unit, but only if I signed a brand-new one-year lease.

I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Great location. Bright & Clean, and Close to transit. Very convenient. I have been living here since December 2020, and never have any major issue. Quick response to any maintenance requests. All staff are friendly too. I have an amazing view from my windows. So sad to have to move because of work. But if I ever come back to Edmonton and need to rent, this place is going to be my number one choice.

Management is terrible. shauna the supposed building manager is more concerned with disrespecting tenants than doing her job. so many broken things in this building and the appliances in units are cheap and flimsy. but most of all SHAUNA NEEDS TO GO SHE NEDDS TO BE FIRED I DONT KNOW HOW SHE IS EMPLOYED STILL
