My husband and I were referred to Jay Hamblin by another realtor that we were working with, after she was unable to meet our needs. You see, I’m not the easiest real estate customer to please — I will take a realtor towns and even counties in different directions looking for the perfect property; change the search parameters on a whim; communicate erratically, and underbid on everything, usually against a realtor’s expert advice.

The first time I recommended Jay to a client it was because of how unhappy she was with the realtor they were using. After meeting Jay she listed with him and within 24 hours the house was sold! Jay was ‘supposedly’ our realtor and sold us a house in March 2024, closing was August 2024. Not once in those 5 months nor any time after, did he reach out to us to see how we were doing or offer any advice on buying such a large property. Pretty sure he used us to get more commission from the seller than he was entitled to. And I am pretty sure he was working for the seller the entire time and not for us. But I don’t have any proof of that. He sold us this property, claiming that there was another buyer interested leading us to offer more than we were initially wanting to. He then said it was the seller’s wishes to have ‘no condition of sale’ on our property, knowing full well that the cows the current owner was renting her property to, would cause issues for financing.
Do not hire Jay.
