Christine Kemp helped me find my perfect forever home on such short notice that when I first contacted her, I needed to secure a place so fast that my best hope was a temporary roof with four walls on a public transit route with Trent University.  I was in such a pinch for timing and budget that I didn't make much of a 'wants' list.  I had needs, including family members and pets, which Christine was able to accommodate so well that now I can't dream up a better place to call home.  We are all so happy here, and so grateful for Christine's efforts to make it happen.

Christine first scheduled us to meet at a truly fascinating century home, where we learned from her so much about the area, houses, builders, trends, appliances, utilities, bylaws and the area's rich history.  Somehow, Christine learned from us what our real needs and wants were.  We watched the market and Christine easily got us in to see all the homes we asked about, even during intense snowstorms, and in the deepest of winter here in Peterborough.  Meanwhile, she found the perfect home for us, the home and yard I still find new reasons to fall in love with, and then she secured it without pushing my budget at all, even after it hit a huge snag and I thought it wouldn't be possible.  She stayed up really long hours to secure paperwork and schedule a home inspection so that I could make my difficult timing.  Whatever came up, she knew a way to fix it or someone who could help, and everyone has been reliable.  Even after closing, when the ice storm hit, she kept in touch to make sure we had what we needed for anything that might have come up.  Christine has a gift for understanding both the big picture and all those details that matter, and for figuring out what needs to happen, then making it happen.  I can't imagine a problem she couldn't solve.

Peterborough is such a people-warm and breathtakingly beautiful place to call home, and I'm so grateful to Christine, her knowledge, her gifts, and her efforts to land us here in this perfect for us forever home.

Christine is a very knowledgeable and personable real estate agent; however, I would not recommend her due to the fact that she did not deliver the services agreed upon as a “full service brokerage”. There was supposed to be drone footage from the lake of my cottage, a video, and professional photographs and none of that happened. Staging, which is also part of the full service fees, was not necessary as we kept the cottage immaculate inside and out. The photos used in the listing were those that Christine took on her phone the day she came out to list it and they were never upgraded. As I knew it would, it sold quickly because we had done so much work on it. Christine walked away with a huge commission for zero financial output and minimal effort and no compensation for the services “not delivered” was ever offered.
