We’re very disappointed with our experience dealing with Eli, who represented the seller in our recent home purchase. Before finalizing the deal, we clearly stated that we wanted a specific dresser to remain with the property, and this was explicitly written into the contract.

Despite this, the dresser was removed by the seller, and over a month later, nothing has been done to resolve the issue. When we followed up, Eli claimed the contract terms were “subject to interpretation,” which feels like a poor excuse for not upholding a clearly stated agreement.

A selling agent has a responsibility to ensure that the terms negotiated between parties are respected. In this case, we feel that responsibility was ignored. This lack of accountability and in follow-through has left us extremely frustrated. We would not recommend working with Eli based on this experience.

Thanks for the response. I understand your position, but it’s disappointing to hear that. You were present during the viewing when we clearly stated the dresser was to remain, so it’s not just a matter between us and the seller — you were involved in that conversation. It feels like once the deal closed, the follow-through and accountability disappeared. That’s frustrating.

No need to go back and forth on it. Just wanted to make it clear how this was handled from our side.
