The Blue Retreat is next next level!! The view is incredible. The space is peaceful and private with an amazing deck and two hammocks. The bedrooms are comfortable and the furnishings are tasteful. Lewis and Laura are super friendly and responsive. Their dog Skye is amazing. There's an incredible hike just a few hundred meters down the road. Best of all, the place is a bargain--we wish we could live here!

We booked for a week but left shortly after arrival as the listing didn’t match what was promised. While the host updated the description based on our feedback, she refused a refund unless someone else booked during what was to be our stay (?). In the end, we only got one night back. Needless to say, a very disappointing first impression to an island known for its honest, loving spirit.

This was truly the highlight of our trip to the Islands. After two days on Vancouver Island we moved to Salt Spring Island. Salt Spring Island is beautiful but when we arrived at Blue Retreat, we just decided to stay and not go back to the village as this place is stunning. The comfort, the luxury, the view, the deck, the host were all incredible. The sunset was spectacular and we would highly recommend this place.
