We met Nathan in 2023 after we had moved into our new construction in Pickering but were looking for a bigger space to move into. My wife and I love real estate and we probably bugged Nathan for 12 months with listings and showings and excursions all across the Durham region to see houses that we would like. Through the process, Nathan was patient, knowledgeable and very accommodating with all of our crazy requests and timelines, but still was able to bring us back to reality as well as be that pragmatic voice when we needed it and be that sounding board that we needed when decisions had to be made. We used Nathan to buy our new place and sell the old one and his approach to each was remarkable.
He kept us honest with what we were committing as a number and made sure that we got exactly what we wanted. When we were evaluating offers and determining whether we should hold off or accept it, Nathan was again calm and made us reflect on what we had committed earlier. We knew what our number was and we knew what we needed for the house to be able to make this deal. His advice and pragmatism is what helped us close a house in record time (7 days) in the Durham region when the market was very very low. For our purchase it was a house that we really loved and Nathan went out of his way to be able to make connections with both the seller and the realtor. He was aggressive with them when needed but was patient with us and didn't push us to do anything that we didn't want to. Most Realtors I know are okay with their clients being over leveraged and Nathan was always cognizant of that fact and made sure we were comfortable with all numbers that we were putting in front of an offer. In the last almost 24 months, Nathan went from being a stranger to our realtor to a really good friend who I hope to continue working with in the future.
