I simply love it. It's hard even to know where to start from. Firstly, people are really nice and polite, from the office, to maintenance to tenantes. Then, the location. I don't have a car and the proximity to Lincon Fields Station surely solves that problem. Finally my apartment view. I don't need pictures on the wall since I have that lake view 24/7.

Avoid This Place at All Costs!

This is the most disgusting and disturbing place to live. The building is unhygienic due to poor handling of pets. You’ll constantly smell dogs everywhere, and the lobby is a nightmare—there’s a large dog that urinates there daily. Even worse, dog urine is sometimes found inside the elevator, and saliva is everywhere. No one cares, no matter how many times you report it.

To make things worse, they do renovations throughout the entire year, sometimes even every week, making it impossible to have peace. If you move here, be prepared for nonstop disturbance and unbearable living conditions. If I could give this place a negative rating, I would. Stay far away!

I Love this place. I moved here in 1997. We are in a great area with lots of stores and transit close by, any repairs I have needed were done very quickly. The staff is always nice and friendly. The occasional tenant get togethers in the lobby are always fun. Oh and the view from up...Awesomeness.

I have lived at Lakeview Apartments since September 1, 1997. In all this time, it has been through four separate management companies, three of them applying "bandaid fixes" to the cosmetic and structural issues. When Osgoode took this 75-year old concrete and steel building over, they automatically took all of the previous haphazard upkeep with it and now have to renovate in order to upgrade for the tenants' safety. Many things were never properly attended to and now it's all on Osgoode's plate to fix - hence the construction to undo the previous botch job on the balconies and re-do them up to specifications. It is almost a year now, but although some have moved out, those of us who appreciate the rigors of manual labor can appreciate why things take as long as they do. If you want it done right - and up to safety standards - do not rush the work. That is when errors are made.......... In the 27 1/2 years I have lived here, I have met thousands of people from all walks of life, all races, colors, creeds and we all got along just fine. At Lakeview we are like a family and we take care of each other and the Osgoode Staff and Management take care of us too. Since the Pandemic hit, more immigrants are coming to Canada and many are gracing us with their presence here at Lakeview. They are lovely people who have not had an easy go of it. We make them feel like part of our building family. Over the decades, I have become quite disabled and need to have a Medical Alert Service Dog. Everyone loves her but no one more than I do. Up to date on all shots, groomer once a month and she has saved my life more often than I can even remember. Why do I stay at Lakeview? The view west is spectacular! Sunsets make my day! Building is friendly, clean, well maintained, and the Office Staff are so accommodating and friendly, in addition to being highly professional in how they deal with issues. We are all in walking distance to groceries, pharmacies, hairdressers, barbers, restaurants, pet store, bike paths, theatres, one bus to shopping centers in either direction, veterinarians, doctors, dentists, hospitals - and the comfort of knowing that our homes are kept safe and well maintained by staff who genuinely care about our welfare. I have read all of the reviews prior to typing this, and I appreciate that no building is perfect; however, when you weight the pros and cons, you will pay more at other places and get far less square footage for your dollar. We live in an area of low crime, but regardless, we are enrolled in Neighborhood Watch for a Multi-Tenant Building with the Ottawa Police Service, should they ever be needed. Our Tenant get-togethers in the big Lobby are so enjoyable and fun, where we get to greet and chat with our fellow neighbors. Lakeview Apartments is a Community of Tenants that Care about each other. When there is a problem, it is brought to the office where the tenant is listened to with patience and understanding, and then the plan to fix it as soon as possible is put into force. Always professional, with respect and empathy, resulting in a mutually-acceptable conclusion. Case in point - we were each given high quality construction level noise reduction ear muffs to wear if the drilling and jackhammering was too much to stand. Now THAT is genuine consideration, for which I, personally, am truly grateful (as I suffer from chronic Migraine disease). They block out the sharp sounds which eases my head somewhat. WHEN you have stayed in one place for as long as I have, the longevity of your tenancy speaks volumes as to the quality of the Landlord and its staff and management, as well as the view from your veranda and the surrounding area and its nearby amenities. I deeply regret moving here, especially during this period. The noise from the ongoing construction is intolerably loud, with constant drilling right next to the apartments. The incessant noise has significantly impacted my well-being, causing anxiety and stress whenever it starts. If you value your health, I strongly advise against moving here. Management and staff are good but they don't provide any assistance regarding this issue.

I've lived here for 6 years now. The location is good, and the actual apartment is alright, but those are the only good things I can say. The staff for the building is mediocre at best, maintenance and office included. I've had my apartment entered while I was asking them to wait a minute (I was getting dressed), no notice fire alarm testing, and the office staff is pretty uncaring in general. There have also been water shut offs where the only notice is in the hall, no announcement or note directly to residents, and in general the water pressure and temperature is pretty poor.

I have lived here for about a year. In that time the apartment has been well maintained and cleaned regularly. The building is very good at putting up notices when there is work that will be happening around the apartment. The staff are caring and friendly, Once I forgot about a water shut off and dumped my dogs water, on my way out to buy some water bottles I ran into the manager. She asked me if I was set for the shut off, I explained what happened and she gave me some water bottle from the office! I would recommend this building to anyone looking for a new place to call home.

Old property . You will find spacious rooms but no amenities.

Constructions are running throughout the summer . A big NO for someone who is work from home.

You guys should have a way to compensate people staying in your apartment either by renting out a temporary place where they can go and work or by no increasing there rents for current year.

This is not a short-time construction, it's gonna last for 6 months. There is a huge level of discomfort and the noise level is over the threshold defined by-law.

P.S : i have huge patience when it comes to noise as i am a Delhite but the construction noise here is literally killing me.
