I fly in with four bags from Calgary to CFB Shilo. After some tough training heading back I was told I can only bring 3 bags. What, apparently there is a rule change with small planes.

I tried to tape it them together several times and tried to work with them but Sergio and Sharon said too bad.

What’s up with West Jet treating Military members like this in Brandon. They said I can dispose of it or ship it. How can I ship with an hour left for my flight. In the end they messed up my duffle.

While the airport isn't anything special, it's something I'm absolutely glad we have in Brandon. Every flight I've ever taken out of the Brandon Airport has been quick and painless, waiting in line for no more than five minutes and generally the checking in and going through security takes at most ten minutes. It would be nice if they brought back flights to eastern destinations like Toronto but I'm content with connecting through Calgary, they generally have lots of flights to choose from (with most recently flying to Amsterdam and Vancouver).

The on-board experience is minimal so make sure you bring a book or a tablet pre-loaded with videos (and noise cancelling/isolating headphones) to keep entertained on the flight.

Bad experience, there is a lady named amanda which does not have any Sense to communicate with guests. Today I was there talking to her and she even did not turned back and communicate with us. Does not knows proper English. And was replying, yeah one minute. She is very rude and pays no attention what’s going on with guests who land there. I had seen she was talking very good with the Canadian people I think she is the racist person I ever seen here in Canada. And she doesn’t even have the politeness and other skills that I had seen in the aviation staff. Made my day hell

Renovations have made a huge difference. It's a sleepy little airport (1 commercial departure most days), but it's well-maintained and modern, and you don't have to show up too early. Be nice to your check-in clerk, as they might also be your security inspector, your ticket-checker, and your gate agent.

Lots of natural light, especially nice washrooms, and plenty of parking. Be sure and eat before you come, though: you'll only find vending machines in the terminal.

Great location to fly into. ATC was extremely helpful, and there were plenty of spaces to tie down. The terminal building had everything we needed to catch a ride into the city. Re-fuelling was really easy with the automated system. I would certainly fly here again.
