Recently, I was involved in a project with Alair Homes where they helped us work through the initial stages of designing and scoping out a project. Although we decided not to proceed with the construction phase of the build, it was through their expertise and guidance that we were able to make decisions that worked best for our family both financially and related to project deadlines. I would highly recommend Alair to anyone looking for a builder. Their process is clear, easy to understand and communication was exceptional from beginning to end of our experience. We had some serious issues with our home that required immediate attention. Alair Newmarket/Aurora came to our rescue and did not disappoint. Meeting with David and Jason was the first step to handing over our project with confidence. I don’t think I would trust another builder as much as I did Alair. What we thought were some renovations turned into a new custom home as they walked us through our house showing us what was happening and why it couldn’t be saved. We worked with Alair Aurora/Newmarket on a complete home renovation on an older home in 2021/2022. Two major things we were looking for in a renovation company were for us to be able to have control over everything we chose for the house and that they prioritized customer satisfaction. Alair checked both of these boxes and we couldn’t have been happier with the result!
We completely remodelled two floors of the house, including a full kitchen reno (taking down a wall), two bathrooms as well as flooring and all the finishes. We installed a gas line for the stove and we’re able to vent the stove outside.
The companies Alair worked with for finishes were just as great. We worked with a great flooring company (who were able to customize the stairs exactly as I liked) and a wonderful kitchen company who was able to put my dream kitchen into place. Having Alair with us to coordinate all of these different vendors on a timeline that worked for us was exactly what we needed.
Jason and David were great to work with! We had two project managers throughout the process. Both were very thorough in their communication and updates of the project. I loved that I had a weekly update on the project.
A couple of things have popped up since the project ended and Alair was prompt in having someone come to fix it.
Overall an enjoyable experience!

From day 1 when we were interviewing builders Alair stood out. David got right to work before we signed anything and started investigating/surveying the land and began communication with the town.
Jason took over the build on the construction side, and although thrown a lot of curve balls with Covid and us, the owners making some design changes along the way, he navigated the project smoothly minimalizing delays, this was especially important given we had a baby girl on the way.
The project was complete on time, and we are extremely happy with the outcome.
We have been in our house for about a year now and still have 100% support from Alair, even last week Jason stopped in making sure everything is how it should be. Both Jason and David really cared about their work and exceeding our expectations, to sum it up we would build again with them.

Blown away impressed working with this company! Finished our entire home remodel (complete gut job) in 3 months time with flawless attention to detail. When we signed on with them they promised a 3 month timeline and stuck to their word in every way. I was immediately impressed with this company as they shared every detail of this remodel journey through fine tuned technology that allows the customer to be aware and a part of every little decision and detail of the project moving along in real time. They don’t miss a beat. The customer stays completely in the loop throughout the process. Every single tradesman they had on site was professional and an expert in their field. I honestly don’t know how they did so much work to perfection in a such a short time frame, but they promised it and they delivered on their word while paying immaculate attention to detail.
I hear horror stories of people building homes that are still waiting after a year, and I guarantee you that WONT be the case with this company. The way they tackle projects with such detailed planning and execution is astounding.
I would hire this company again in the future if I’m ever looking to build of remodel again.

Where to start? Alair Homes Aurora & Newmarket was the best construction management experience we could have imaged. We were looking to do a significant renovation (~3,000 sq feet) with a large addition (~1,000 sq feet) to our home. Not knowing what to expect, Alair made the process easy.

From the first interaction, we felt a sense of connection with Alair. They were punctual, addressed our immediate and long-term concerns, answered all our questions, gave us points for consideration, and walked us through their end-to-end process.

Alair's authenticity (if you could say that about a business!); along with their customer centric approach and open-door policy, had us feeling not only secure in our decision to work with them, but excited. We went into our project with our eyes wide open - the outline in front of us was detailed, well thought out, and upfront. What we loved about Alair's approach was that nothing was hidden - all fees, expenses, anticipated trade amounts, and actual trades amounts were all outlined throughout the process. In addition to that, we (as the customer) were able to make the final decisions on which trades we wanted to work with, or what options we wanted to go with.

Now, with all custom builds, especially renovations, problems do arise. Sometimes hard decisions needed to be made on the project, or snags came up with a specific trade, wishlist, or timeline. Let there be no sugar coating into how stressful a process renovating or building a custom is, because it is extremely stressful. What made Alair so special was their ability to take a stressful event and to break it down into something consumable – Whether it be providing options, thinking outside the box, or proactively having a solution to a problem, they were always in our corner.

From a project management perspective, all the trades were respectful, competitive in price and respected our deadline. Alair did an impeccable job at steering the ship and we cannot commend them enough on their ability to manage the project. We could go on forever about how positive our experience was with Alair. If you are looking to custom build a home, or renovate your existing one, you would be remiss not to meet with Alair.
