Horrible place, landlord will cut power to try to force you out. When you question them, response back is that it is your fuses. Yes! Still on fuses. No update had even been done.
Very unsafe place to live, risk of fire and electrical danger everywhere. Fridge is hard wired into stove, against the law. Some units have an electrical cord over the sink to operate the fridge. Elevator has no license and does not get maintained. Criminal négligence is what this is.

The name is a subtle joke. You see, Sneed sells feed and seed. It rhymes. So therefore we can establish that the previous owner, Chuck, sold seeduck and feeduck. Also they have bedbugs, roaches the size of mantis shrimp, and fleas and lice everywhere. Sneed

Despite the awful experience I know many have had when simply calling to request information (the two above reviews are not the only terrible stories I have heard), as someone who has actually lived here it was a good experience so this review seems necessary! The rent is extremely affordable for the location and the size that you get. I've seen other bachelor apartments within this neighborhood and none of them offered the same space or included utilities (sorta: 25$/month for bachelors, and $30/month for 1 bedrooms for hydro was included in the cost of my monthly rent) that this place offers. I rented a bachelor for nearly 3 years in this building. The separate kitchen, and big bathroom were much attractive than a single room bachelor with a tiny open kitchen which you can reach from your couch or bed, and even tinier bathrooms you get for prices in the same range at other buildings. I used the roof top deck all the time in the summer to sit and read while waiting for my laundry to be finished (onsite facilities).Repairs happened in a timely fashion when needed, sometimes sooner than expected, and while some of the people in the rental office were not always helpful the landlord was quick to respond and provide assistance and information. Overall, it's a good place if you're looking for an affordable apartment for downtown living.

Their second building in mived in 2009 elevator out for a week on Metcalfe St left me for a week in jan 2011 without heat because they spent time trying to cheap on repairs. I moved out not owing rent. I was a working senior. Moved to help daughter share a house in Barrhaven

they are great the reviews are lies that say bad things i love these people they help anyone that needs a place and is a very peaceful environment and staff were always friendly love the retro antique kitchens and shutters in the bars etc wooden floors that apts are huge u don't need a credit cheque or last months and p.s its always nice for someone who is in a bad situatioin to not be turned away when they have free units thes people rock if u had roaches its cus u were a pig and should have invested in a cat and maybe then u might have a friend that likes u lmfao 🙂 and ud have no roach problem as he would gleefully kill them all in a matter of days and hunt them any time anywhere so ya ur a dumbass stop badmouthing these guy s they even take people out of country they are not slum lords they help many people and immigrants from around the world and to the the people making bad reviews ///while ur just a loser lol yup 🙂
