I love sharing positive experiences when they happen, and this one was definitely worth sharing. I’ve been living in a basement apartment managed by Babcock & Robinson for two years now. I don’t usually get in touch with them, but when I do, they’ve always been helpful, which was a pleasant surprise given my past experiences with landlords who simply didn’t care.

This week, along with the rest of the city, I experienced a power outage that lasted for five days. As a result, my sump pump backed up, and water started coming into my apartment. Bethann reached out to me after being informed about the water coming in. When I asked if I could be compensated for the gas I used in my generator to keep the sump pump running, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but she was more than happy to say “of course” and even sent over a dehumidifier.

Bethann continued to check in on me daily, and when I told her about my dilemma of not being able to leave the generator unattended for 13 hours while I went to work, she promptly sent someone out to check on it multiple times throughout the day. I can’t thank her enough for giving me peace of mind and making a terrible week much better. This is one of the best experiences I’ve had as a tenant.

After leaving multiple phone calls and emails trying to reach "Christine Dorie" we have not received any contact back about our lease, unfortunately seeing all the other reviews here it seems to be a common practice for them.

I don't recommend dealing with this company at all if you can avoid it.

I rent a house that is taken care of by Babcock and Robinson. During this crazy ice storm, I had a tree come down through my backyard, and my basement flooded. I called Bethann right away, and immediately she was on top of it. I sent her pictures so she had something to go by. She called the landlord, and he immediately got in contact with his insurance so someone could come by and look at the damage. She has kept in contact with me, to give me updates, and to see if I need anything. This is a very frustrating time for many of us, but Bethann has been doing her best to limit the stress I am feeling. It's a long road ahead, but I know my house will be taken care of. Thanks Bethann and Babcock and Robinson for all your time and effort. I really do truly appreciate it.

Babcock and Robinson assumed property management responsibilities for my building in October 2024. At that time, residing in a one-bedroom unit, I requested a transfer to a two-bedroom unit, a process Lizzie efficiently facilitated. However, this represents the sole positive interaction with the management company. Following notification in December 2024 that there was no heat in my bedroom, it still took 7 weeks for them to provide a space heater. Despite documented attempts to contact the company, emails went unanswered for two weeks by Angelina. A subsequent phone conversation with Bethann, identified as the owner, resulted in her telling me that the $40 space heater WAS the resolution, and that no further action would be taken. After further conversation and some insistence on my part, she offered to speak to the building owners, Cleary Investments Inc., about potentially installing a baseboard heater. I found her demeanor unprofessional and dismissive, implying fault on my part rather than addressing the unresolved heating issue. The matter is now subject to Property Standards review. As of May 26, 2025, the inadequate heating remains unresolved, highlighting the unsatisfactory, unprofessional and incompetent performance of Babcock and Robinson.

We’ve been treated as if we are VIP, right from the application all the way to tenancy and beyond. Ive been renting since college, so a little over 10 years, and renting through Babcock and Robinson has changed my entire experience as a tenant. The communication between property management and tenants is very clear, to the point and formal. The admin, Lizzie, took her time to answer any and all of our questions and concerns before deciding to rent through them. Being able to put my family in a safe, secure environment was our number one priority and boy, did they deliver. Anyone I know who’s looking for rentals, these guys are the first place I recommend to rent through.
Truly grateful for all of your hard work and dedication to your tenants, guys!! You all deserve a pat on the back!

Went through the application process with them only to be ghosted after them running a credit check on myself, Co applicant and cosigner. Do not recommend! Was dealing with Lizzie, total waste of time and super disappointing.

Editing as they finally reached out to apologize. My review stands. It is absolutely disgusting to leave a prospective tenant hanging. Peoples housing is not something to play around with. This company has no morals and does not care about the people they serve. Their prices are outrageous and practices are questionable

I would recommend renting from Babcock and Robinson, they went over and beyond for me. They fixed a really bad situation for me .
