Update since our last stay, we have stayed at The Aspens for 7 years now, it suits our needs brilliantly. The team at Blackcomb Peaks are exceptional and make everything so easy. Love it!
Our family of 6 stayed in Aspens #248 in January 2015. The location is great, ski in, ski out, the condo was roomy and well appointed. A couple more kitchen utensils would have been nice, a decent chopping board would have been great, but really minor things in the scheme of it. The spa gets pretty busy, but we didn't use it that much. Love the ski valet and staff were all really friendly and helpful. Would use again and recommend. I marked it down because of the shared laundry.

Great stay in Aspens #216! The room was spacious and had all the necessary amenities. The king bed was very comfortable. The bed in the pull out couch could use a memory foam though. A quiet location within walking distance to everything. Great pool and hot tubs too! We have stayed in many places in Whistler and will definitely return to The Aspens because of the value and quality of the units.

What we liked: The condo was spacious and a good value. Easy access to the lifts. (Of the 3 places we have stayed in Whistler, this has the best access to the lifts yet without having noisy bars nearby.) Short 10 minute walk in street shoes to the village. Clean. Comfortable beds. Personal pin to doors instead of cards. Nice pool and hot tubs. Parking was handy. Quiet (other than the fire alarm going off, but that wasn't their fault.)

Neutral: You have to take out your own trash.

Room for improvement: The room was warm (25 C) even with the windows open in March. Management company and front desk are two different operations (extra towels etc have to be called in instead of just running down the hallway). $10 for each lost pool towel. Cleaning service is once a week instead of daily (Keeps costs down).

Advice: Bring your own pool towels if you are driving.

Overall: The Aspens is a very nice place to stay if you don't mind doing a little to pitch in and keep things affordable. I would stay here again.

We just recently stayed at # 13 Valhalla and really liked it. The bedding and beds were great, and the overall comfort level of the living area was just right. We were there 4 nights and left on Christmas Eve and it was always quiet. The unit was very clean and everything worked. We have been to Whistler many times, and this was one of the nicest units we have stayed at. Marketplace grocery , Starbucks, and the ski bus shuttle - all right across the street. We will stay here again if available.

Aspens is our favourite place to stay in Whistler - right on the slope, good hot tub and pool, and convenient on-site rentals. We prefer to rent through Blackcomb Peaks as they are very responsive to any issues (over the years we've only had one or two!). The units are consistent in amenities (always a full kitchen with oven, micro, dishwasher and large fridge) - but they are individually owed and styled and you can choose your preference from a good range of photos.

The locations of the Aspens is wonderful, just up the hill the the new Blackcomb Gondola base. The accommodations are nice, with a well stocked kitchen. One of the 3 hot tubs was closed, but the remaining 2 are large and we never had a problem finding space after a day on the slopes. My only complaint is a lack of furniture/storage in the unit. There were 2 nightstands with 2 drawers each. That was the extent of it. For anyone staying on the pull out couch, there's nowhere to store your stuff. Not a major issue, but if there had been 4 of us in the room, it would've been tough to find space for clothes and drying areas for gear at the end of each day. All in all it was a positive experience and I can reccomend The Aspens with that one warning.
