Current Tenants of a Broadstreet property in Leduc, Alberta. Turnstile Site Managers & Cleaning Staff. Lengthy wait for Maintenance issues, informed every time by Maintenance when attending, that repairs with their appliances and fixtures could cost us money, outdated nonenergy efficient appliances and fixtures that have been breaking down due to age, blind slats for balcony window keep falling off due to age.
Overspraying of Herbicides & Pesticides on grass surrounding bldgs. in a supposedly Pet Friendly, Family Friendly Site, which in prior years had no weeds present. Inundated with ongoing Paper notices, improperly dated notices, when asked for info sheet for Renters Insurance regarding age of structure, fire system, heating and such was given a very short response from Alberta office which lacked required detail. Have current ongoing unresolved issues with adjacent bldg. Tenants at same site in Leduc for over a Year now, involving both adult renters and their teenage child, ie. Noise disturbances such as loud sex repeatedly with windows and blinds open, underage drug and alcohol parties accompanied with loud yelling and screaming, verbal threats and cursing from Apts. balcony and open windows. Site Manager refuses to Evict or at their expense move these unruly Tenants to a readily vacant unit at the front of another on site bldg. Site Manager doesn't answer emails regarding this issue as when 2nd Email sent his Superior Jessica answered in a condescending tone in email claiming we didn't have the correct address, of which we most definitely did, as previous site manager and current one have confirmed this along with the RCMP. Police and City of Leduc Officers have repeatedly informed us that the Site Manager has more authority to resolve this issue, we passed this on to Previous & Current Site Managers but they are unwilling to resolve this for almost 2 yrs. of these continuing reported occurring issues. Quiet Building times are not enforced at this site but placation is, as Jessica has informed us that they're currently investigating and to pass the buck onto their 24/7 Call Center and Bylaw/Police which doesn't help resolve this ongoing issue. Our Rents are raised but the Client Service and Amenities and cheap upgrades aren't exceptional.

I live in Forest Ridge Apartments in Campbell River and have experienced the loveliest service from a woman in the Janitorial Department. She is absolutely amazing and I wish my memory was better or I would rave her by name. Helping my son and I with his wheelchair this morning really paved the way to not worry about his formula exploding in his backpack. Please give her a raise! She always goes beyond her scope to be helpful and kind!!

I lived in an apartment on Valley road in Kelowna owned by Broadstreet Properties with a partner in 2018/2019, I moved out in 2020. The property manager (Jayme Lynn King - Fantastic manager!) was aware that I moved and was one of my references to the new property. January 9th of this year I was contacted by Broadstreet properties, my ex partner had left and owes them money for unpaid rent and cleaning/damages. They are threatening my credit score saying that I am responsible for these charges even though I have not lived there for almost four years! I have been polite in my communication with them but this now feels like harassment; I was not a tenant, I was not a co-signer, I have no contact with the previous tenant. How is it possible that after almost 4 years and 3 lease renewals, which obviously I did not sign because I didn't live there, that I am still "on the lease" and responsible for these charges? Now they agree that I am not responsible for rent, but still responsible for the appliances and cleaning! My experience living there was wonderful, but their business ethics and practices after tenancy (Abeer Abeer - collections coordinator) are disgusting and unacceptable. It now seems that I will have to make a claim with the residential tenancy branch and waste my time to fight this all because they failed to renew a lease properly and legally with the remaining tenant and refuse to take responsibility for their lack of competence. BEWARE!

Very cheap appliances.
Only window in the living room doesn't open and the balcony door doesn't have a screen.
Path to shopping center permanently blocked off.
$60 for parking on top of rent? Are you kidding me?
Door buzzer doesn't work with my phone despite my phone being a very common smart phone, so can't buzz anyone in unless I buy a 2nd phone and line.
Building manager claims there is suddenly a new policy that prevents me from paying rent through her.. since the website will not let me use my card which is my only form of payment until things out of my control happen to change it. She agreed in the beginning that it wasn't a problem. We both know this "policy" is a lie and that she just doesn't like me so doesn't want to do her job.
Will be moving because of this.
Also, master bedroom bathroom light switch is outside the bathroom, so good luck if whoever moves in is a couple and someone needs to pee at night.
The closet in the laundry room is nearly inaccessible unless you squeeze between the door and the washer/dryer and then close the door. Not very convenient for guests.
Can't change the shower head, so if you're disabled and would need something else, don't bother renting here.
On that note, a lot of the doors have the large round knobs which are not good for anyone with arthritis or any other hand/wrist joint issue.
Very little and poor lighting. Buy lamps if you plan to live here and an AC unit for the bedrooms because the small one in the living room, that's right next to the thermostat will not help.

RENTER BEWARE

Try to charge extra fees! The building manager drives with invalid insurance and runs red light at out corner and almost hit another car in parking lot. They are also promoting and soliciting in doorways of my apartment.

Air conditioner went out. I informed Broadstreet. on Wednesday. On Friday Broadstreet sent a tech and the team leader. It was fixed in about an hour. Nice workers at Broadstreet. Thanks Broadstreet.
