One don’t know what the other is doing!! Always conflicting info from them… it’s like they r just there for a pay check. They never contact you when they are supposed to and they don’t notify u about anything by letter although they will say they sent out a letter. Rules are changed in secret and u keep getting pushed back on the List!!

Ive been in the same house 5 years, for a few years I haven't seen anyone from maintenance come fix anything, except when we had a flood and they sent guys to clean up water but they weren't allowed to touch anything else. EDGAR you keep saying call maintenance for help, I HAVE, so many times!!! Me and my 3 children should not have to live this way! Yeah I owe back rent, so you won't let me transfer from frenchvale area to the Northside area where my children grew up and go to school, all I asked was to be transferred to another place. If I leave and rent elsewhere then, wouldn't it make more sense for you to get what I owe by giving me another unit rather then me leave and rent outside housing,because of the MOLD,broken stove,broken gutters ECT. I KNOW 2 UNTIL HOMES EMPTY AND I WONT STOP UNTIL I GET OUT OF HERE FOR ME AND MY CHILDRENS MENTAL HEALTH! I hate my life out here and calling anyone to help is useless, you leave me no choice but to fight this for my kids!!! I will not stop daily calling emails and texts until we are heard!

I currently woke up with no heat in this month of February. We are going on day two with no heat WHILE isolating. I woke up to call emergency dispatch to be directed to a women with the utmost sarcastic disrespect. As I am currently in a household with myself and sick children we are also in our own frustration too, but yet just trying to be heard. When I tried to explain my family is isolating with no heat she continued to interrupt me then said “just give it up”, hung up in my ear and then proceeded to not answer. I finally got through using a different number and Shandy the receptionist sarcastically apologized and basically laughed me off. There are too many professional men and women that could be much more empathetic or in the very least, professional.

I just went to the Cape Breton Island Housing Authority and they refused to let me talk to anyone and would only direct me to some applications. Even when I told them that I can't adjust my eyesight to see the small black and white print, I was ignored by the person at the front desk. They just refused to help me because I am homeless! FML.

2023/12/20 Applied for senior housing down there in 2015/2016. Have never heard anything from them since then. I am now heading out to live in a tent. Gerry Marsh was useless. Part of the Margaret Street {sh%t show}

I personally think these folks are great, they always answer, always understanding and friendly, they take action quickly if need be, they run an awesome office and the technicians are the best, keep up the great work folks.

Unfortunately had to deal with these people on two occasions. The individual who was responsible for dealing with the homeless shelters was absolutely useless. He seemed to favor a couple of shelter tenants. They did nothing for me.
