My partner and I stayed at the Capital Suites in late June. The staff was very accommodating and tried to make our stay better. Capital Suites had issues with their TV service when we got there. It was "fixed" to some degree after a day or so. The internet was a bit slow. But, with its location in the downtown area it made it easy to walk almost anywhere for business. Hunters' Market store and takeout is nearby and they make great food!

The staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable. This hotel is in a good location, but it was just off a main street, so you don't hear as much traffic noise.

A good option in Iqaluit. The rooms are pretty basic, but very clean. The hotel is in well-located, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The morning receptionist—Ella, if I remember correctly—was especially outstanding.

Pros:
-Good central location
-Friendly staff
-Room type (three bedroom suite) suited our group size of five adults and was fairly reasonably priced
-The suite had decent kitchen with plenty of counter/cupboard space and a full sized fridge/freezer

Cons:
-When walking into the unit for the first time it was boiling hot, thermostat said 32 degrees Celsius but it was likely warmer than that. We could not lower the temperature and informed the staff member at the front desk who called maintenance, who supposedly addressed the problem a couple hours later while we were out but we were still unable to control the thermostat and had to regulate the temperature by opening/closing windows
-One of the bathrooms appeared to have mould growing on the ceiling as seen in one of the pictures posted along with this review
-The wifi was very slow (despite us supposedly having been upgraded to the faster internet for free as a result of only two channels being available on the television)
-Does not have blackout blinds, which was annoying when the sunrise happens at 3:30am in mid-May
-The fire alarm went off around 5:30am on Sunday morning (see picture of fire truck in front of hotel). It seemed to be a false alarm but we all had to evacuate the building in -10 weather.

So many things were broken - we lost a $50 turkey because the oven didn't work properly. Bottom element not heating enough so our turkey was toxic!!! We paid the $400 per day fee so we could cook our own meals. The bathroom was never cleaned. A chair was broken, garbage can broken. We had to ask for everything from the front desk who were helpful but it was annoying to have to ask to have the floor swept, coffee replaced, fresh towels etc.

I made a reservation and they never sent me a confirmation email. I keep calling and the phone rings 500 times until someone picks up and she keeps hanging up on me. Extremely disappointing. How can I reach the owner of this property? Clearly, the employee is playing games with the phone.
