Appraiser showed up late, asked a couple questions and took a coupon pictures. What a waste of time. Could have done the appraisal with an email, a simple title search and looking at an aerial map. This Company simply trying to justify their overpriced mediocre work.

I recently used this appraisal service in the Calgary area. The appraiser I worked with was friendly and professional. He provided me with a detailed report within 3 days. He was very easy to reach if I had any questions. The appraisal I received was accurate and well worth the fee! I would recommend this company they offered great customer service!

I do not recommend this company. My bank paid for the appraisal through CDC, and I paid for another appraisal from a different company. The CDC appraisal came in $20,000 less than the other company.

The appraiser was very young and inexperienced, and not friendly or professional. She was opening my cabinets and drawers which was completely unnecessary. If you want to get a fair appraisal I recommend using a different company.

I was in the process of buying a home from a builder 2 years ago. I hired CDC as part of my due diligence to ensure that the property I was buying was worth the price. They booked an appointment with me and I had contacted the builder for the keys in order to let them in. It was supposed to be an independent and unbiased appraisal. To my utter surprise, the guy that came for the appraisal said he had nothing to do with me (even though I paid for the appraisal) and he went to the showhome to gather documents from the builder. At the end of the appraisal, he quoted exactly what the builder was asking for the house. This company is a sham. Don't waste your money. Where in the world will an appraisal be the exact amount a builder is asking for for a homeowner's appraisal? Now, I am in the process of selling the said house and realtors are quoting a selling price $20,000 less than what I paid for the house. I know the economy is not good right now but there is no real estate crash in Edmonton that my house will drop $20,000 from what I paid for it 2 years ago. These guys have a way of conniving with the builders and inflating house prices in order to secure mortgages. They are of no help to homeowners who are doing due diligence to avoid being cheated by home builders. Beware! Don't waste your time and money on this company.
