The concept of Century Group’s builds and residential developments, is good, it’s why we invested and live now in one of their newer communities. We are not overly impressed however with the mediocre service and support of new home owners post construction. For such a large investment, we have been disappointed with the overall quality of the build and workmanship of the respective trades involved. We’re about to spend $2K for example, correcting ongoing issues that we’ve been experiencing with our heating system and a leaking natural gas supply, as an example. We also have missing soffit that we will need to pay to have installed, all in a home that was finished on the fall of 2021.

The sales people gave us the wrong information when we purchased our home and until now we are in legal battle over that. The builder does not take responsibility of anything after they get the money.

We've had such a great experience working with Century Group. It's wonderful to work with a company that extends community building outside of its own community. They care about communities globally - and what the community wants and needs - which is so important. They have helped us build an Early Childhood Education centre, a water well and water tank system, and a teacher housing townhouse complex in rural Uganda. Outstanding contribution! Be careful when dealing with this company. They changed the whole contract 7 days before closing; and cancelled all amenities and concierge service. We fought them to bring back at least the concierge service, but now 4 years later, they will be cancelling it at the end of this year. Imagine investing in a Highrise with no basic amenities like a gym or a party room, and not even a concierge service. They also promised us a "green" water heating/cooling where basically water runs through pipes in the ceiling and heat/cool the space as needed. Besides the fact that their "system" doesn't work, and it's always way too hot in our condo (even when it's cold outside), they created a company to be the middleman for this "cooling/heating" thing. We pay this company $80 a month for heating and cooling for a 1 bedroom 500 sqft condo. I cannot begin to tell you the shadiness of this company and how questionable their business ethics are. Save yourself the headaches.

Buyer beware, they are masters of bait and switch. With the housing market so hot, this developer doesn’t have an incentive to be moral.

They promised us wonderful amenities and affordable innovative heating system on top of normal stuff like visitor parking and a gym.

We got none of that: No access to the gym or pool without paying additional $100/month, no visitor parking, heating for 1 bedroom is ~$100/month and doesn’t work for many units etc. Not to mention there are plenty of defects in our units

I’m a normal person, who just made the biggest purchase of my life, eager to move in - they completed two years past their promised date. Days before closing they sent us amendments and we had to sign or forfeit our purchase. I should have walked away.

Years later, the iron clad legalese would give strata an uphill battle. Our strata fees and heating are the most expensive in the area and we don’t even have amenities!

We get slapped in the face by Century Group constantly. Our lobby that we pay to maintain gets rented out for filming by the developer. So we last minute lose access to it and don’t even receive revenue from it!
