My brother-in-law was a resident at the Hartford for almost a year and a half. The staff were wonderful in making him feel at home when he first moved there and he became very fond of all of them. As his needs changed they were great to work with and often went above and beyond in helping to meet his needs. The menu and meals offered lots of variety and the kitchen staff were also in tune with what some of his food preferences were. We were very happy with the excellent communication between us and the management & staff during his time there and especially in the weeks leading up to his passing. They were very compassionate, helpful, patient and accommodating. We miss the interaction we had with them when we came to visit.

My father was a resident at the Hartford Retirement Centre this past year, and although his health needs now require complex support in a long-term care facility, we look at his time at the Hartford with great respect and appreciation. The staff are professional and really understand how much this transition time for a loved one affects the entire family and provide the comfort, care, guidance and support necessary throughout this journey. Our family and father thank you for all your kindness! We are so fortunate to have a place like the Hartford in our community to call Home.

My brother was a resident at the Hartford and I only wish I could rate higher than a 5. Everyone there became his extended family and felt like ours as well. I can't thank each and everyone of them enough for making his time there so comfortable and I will miss visiting there as my brother has now passed. We are truly blessed to have a place like this in our community and staff that's as caring and devoted as they are. Thank you all for what you do.

Our mom was a resident of The Hartford for almost 9 years. She loved being there, had lots of friends over the years. The staff are caring, compassionate and very patient. Mom loved the meals and enjoyed her time at the Hartford.

My Mom has been a resident in the Hartford community since 2017. She always speaks highly of the kindness, care and responsiveness of the staff over the years, and of the good friends she has in the community. The Hartford is genuinely her home. Living at a distance from Morrisburg, it has been a great source of reassurance for me during the time of the pandemic to know that the Hartford has been so careful and consistent in their protocols, keeping everyone safe and healthy. As well, the creative efforts you have taken to make life as interesting as possible for residents during this time of restrictions is much appreciated. Thank you!

My dad has been a resident of the Hartford for the past year and a half. He first went in for some respite care and is now a permanent resident. The staff are incredibly kind, caring and compassionate and genuinely treat every resident like family. They have done so much to ensure everyone has stayed safe during this pandemic. The General Manager, Shelley Hamilton, always keeps us informed and is available for any questions at any time. It gives my family peace of mind to know that dad is so well taken care of.

The Hartford is a really nice, small, friendly, retirement home.
My mom is 91. She moved there in Oct 2020.
She was living alone previously, and, in spite of Covid restrictions, has settled in very well. We think her physical and mental health has improved immensely.
The staff in the Hartford are phenomenal and have been so helpful and supportive in helping us all to adapt.
I highly recommend this establishment.

Mom moved into the Hartford just a few months before the pandemic hit. It was a huge change from living alone in her home. The staff were incredible. I am so happy to know she is well taken care of. Mom constantly raves about the people and how kind and thoughtful they are. They are constantly looking for options to replace activities scrubbed by covid. I am always kept in the loop on health issues and feel that she is safe and happy. Thank-you so much for making her transition such a positive experience.
