The Home Hotel was a charming, friendly, welcoming stop in a small town with the biggest heart on the prairies.
My spouse and I stayed here overnight. The price was fantastic and the location is beautiful. You get a gorgeous view of the Prairies right outside your room (past the equally gorgeous stone church on the corner), and the street is quiet. The hotel looks a little run-down on the outside (the perils of small-town Manitoba), but the rooms are in perfect condition and immensely comfortable. All amenities were in working order and everything was immaculately clean. The desk attendant was friendly and gave us plenty of information even though we checked in late. It was quiet and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

I really enjoy staying at the Home Hotel. The rooms a clean and nice. They are older as this is an older hotel but for the price one can't complain. The Home Hotel has its own restaurant and bar. Last night my wife and I had an enjoyable time chatting with the local people and watching the Canada - Argentina soccer match.
The location of the hotel is right downtown which makes it a nice starting point if you want to walk around town.
If you are considering stopping and staying in Boissevain the Home Hotel is a good choice.

We didn't stay there, just dropped in for lunch. And it was good. I'll admit I was surprised. Lots of locals too which is always a good sign.
I had the taco salad and it was yummy. Just the right mix of all the good stuff.
My companions also had favorable reports of their meals. I did snag some fries and can report that they're nothing special. Fries have to pretty darn good to win with my approval.

Used to work there for 5 years. Last time I went there to buy some booze I wasn’t emotionally okay and I dyed my hair. The bartender looked at me and said that the carpets won’t match the drapes. It truly depends on who’s working when you go there. Food can be hit or miss.

I've never been to a place where not one person will come to your table to offer a menu, a drink, or anything for that matter. Myself and a co worker sat at a table for 23 minutes waiting to be served and we got nothing. We even asked a person working there if they were open and she yes we are and walked away. Worst place I've ever been to and I wouldn't waste my time going. The Sawmill coffee shop down the street had excellent wraps, sandwiches and fries though! Home hotel is a zero.

Staff are incredibly rude and not welcoming. I placed an order for take out- prices online are wrong. I was handed my food and the lady began ringing up my bill. I question the bill price and the lady working got defensive and said well that’s what you ordered. I politely declined and said no, to only have my food snatched out of my hand and taken back to the kitchen. The food was made correct- it was her mistake. I was eventually refunded but she never did apologize. Slammed my cash on the counter and walked off. The food was okay- nothing special. Don’t waste your time or money going here. There are better options in Boissevain that appreciate your business.

Ordered take out, prices online are wrong as prices have gone up.. fries were tasteless, fried chicken was meh. Went to eat a piece of pizza and there was a black hair in it.. definitely not as good as it used to be.
