Citysearch rented us an estate home for $5500/month that was nowhere near in shape to be rented. Although the owner misrepresented the shape of the house it was still citysearch responsibility to have all deficiencies repaired, home to be cleaned and everything in working order. That didn’t happen by any means.
We’ve been in the house a little less than three months and still have not had a majority of the deficiencies looked at. There was well over 30/40 deficiencies From dishwasher not working to range not working, coffee machine not working, toilet not working, fireplace not working, bathroom heated floors not working, furnace didn’t work, smoke detectors not working etc, etc. Most of these deficiencies were found by us the tenant and not in their move in report as they obviously rushed through their move in report and was not thorough. I recommend you go through that report extensively if you tend to use citysearch.
Within a week of moving in, the basement flooded from foundation and roof problems($40,000 estimate to fix) and entire basement needed to be remediated from extensive mold that had happened over multiple episodes of water damage. Still have no basement, just got laundry working. They still haven’t provided garage door openers. Mice have been found in traps that were left behind. Owners left furniture in dining room, living room , and personal items in storage room and storage shed leaving no room for our possessions. Have not Painted where there was repairs, holes in the walls, the list goes on and on. They started off very sympathetic but once their owner stopped paying to fix deficiencies because of insurance being declined they also stopped looking after their tenant with all the deficiencies. They also stopped communicating and have not responded to emails or calls to let us know where they were at for timelines for any of the repairs and when they expected to fix the property to where they represented it to be when rented. Shameful that they would treat a client like they have and people should know they are only looking after themselves when they took on a house that wasn’t ready with an owner that doesn’t care and didn’t look after their house. They still are responsible as they signed the tenancy agreement. Disappointed is all we can say about our experience.

Good Day, I wanted to hop on here today to give kuddos to Kim A. who works for Citysearch Rental Network. Our rental home had a plugged main sewer system, causing our sewer to back up into the laundry room area. I reached out to their office this morning around 10:00am with an urgent request. Kim called me around 10:15 and by 11:30 we had a restoration company at our place to inspect the area, checking for asbestos and air quality. By 12:30 the plumbing company sent their owner and problem was resolved within the hour. I can't say enough about how Kim handled the situation. She listened carefully, expressed deep concern and was empathetic about our situation. But most importantly, she acted quickly and had our issue resolved within 3 hours of speaking with her. Not only that, she followed up with a phone call to see how everything went and ensure the problem was resolved. Thank you Kim! Your professionalism and experience were evident in our interaction and in your follow through. I give 5 Stars for the outstanding way our situation was handled.
