Please Don’t Rent a 590 Montgomery Street Apartments for live.
They didn’t clean parking lot when there is snow. I attached pictures after one week of snow.
First Time i rent this place. This is my worst experience ever. I don’t recommend to rent this building.

Whatever you do - don’t rent from Colpitts ?

We gave our notice in April for June 1st. Colpitt emailed us several time asking if we could move out early so the new tenants could move in despite the fact we paid a full months worth of rent.

Whatever, we are nice people so we did it. Then, our landlords emails us the day of our move out inspection rescheduling to later in the day. Well, I have a job and my husband can’t drive - so we did not go but understand circumstances and just let her come when she could (which seemed to be at 9pm).

She then sends us a message at 9pm, saying the 20$ bidet attached during my pregnancy that needs to be UNSCREWED (thats it, just unscrewed) will be a 400$ charge. We offered to just take the 10 minutes to get it out ourselves - but we were only given a 4 hour window for tomorrow within 12 hours notice.

My husband has a life threatening (and potentially fatal) disease and we FINALLY are seeing specialist in the morning. This appointment is going to take hours.

We were told we had to cancel our appointment we waited months for or be charged $400. I get it - we forgot one little detail. But if you had showed up to the original time and let us know - we could of been there day of.

THEN - our landlord who offered to clean the house for a crazy amount of money that she already made us sent over - told us she had not cleaned despite making us send the money 24 hours ago.

She let us know she would not be doing the cleaning and basically threatened us that “whatever is not cleaned closely will be charged”.

Crazy in a world where rent cost thousands of dollars - that companies still want to take more and more despite us being perfect tenants!

Amanda at 104 Goodine st is a terrible building manager. While my wife and I were moving out she messaged us the same email 4-6 times each. Then offered her own cleaning service so we took her up on the offer and when the day came for her to do the cleaning and inspection. She can’t make the agreed time that we agreed on for over a month prior and didn’t even clean the apartment and now suddenly wants to charge us $400 to remove a piece of hardware that is one bolt “because building maintenance won’t do it”

My fiancé and I rented from Colpitts for three years (85 Fieldstone Ct.) Mandy, our landlord, was great and we were even able to get out of our lease early to purchase a home through them.

My husband and I rented an apartment through Colpitts for about 2 years, and we had a great experience! Very nice building, well kept and clean! Appliances were great and walls were freshly painted right before we moved in. I love that the building was pet friendly. Superintendent was excellent to deal with! They made our transition to a home easy for us, when it came time to move. Would highly recommend a colpitts apartment building!

I lived at 60 Fieldstone Court apartments for about 3 years. I had overall a good experience, no issues with the building, and Mandy was very helpful. I had to terminate my lease mid term due to having to move out of province for work, and Mandy quickly found a new tenant to take over my lease, freeing me to move without any financial penalties.

It started out okay but wow have things declined over time...

Over the course of 5 years. I have been continually let down and deeply agitated by Colpitts practices.

1.) They moved in 2 18 year old's above me couple years ago. I know that there is a review process for all new tenants and that the require a reference from a previous landlords but that clearly was not done here. They quickly because hellish neighbors, stomping around and fighting all hours of the night. Mandy was zero help in this and ultimately, it was the police that become involved and forced their hand. It was handled unprofessionally, Colpitts was not transparent in the least. The refused to provide any assistance in this matter.

2.) They have charged me for basic maintenance requests that should be administrative. The love to gouge. |

3.) More recently, another neighbor has been blasting bass music. I've complained numerous times and Mandy always takes the side of the neighbor, claiming that "she says it isn't her".

4.) There are constantly hornets getting in my unit. I complained in the past and they just dropped off a can of raid, despite that the nest appears to be under the siding of the building outside.

5.) They are constantly building around me. They haven't stopped in 5 years. But what really irritates me is that in previous customer surveys, I've always said the great view here is one of the best features. So what do they do? Build a massive new apartment completely blocking out the best view for this entire building.

Is that enough?

I am so over this company. Long after I leave, which will be very soon, I will be sure to tell everyone I know to avoid them. They will deceive you.

I'd prefer to give them 0 stars, but that is not an option. They are impersonal, and completely unpleasant to deal with. When I moved into the townhouse, it was not even ready; the cleaners were still cleaning. The place was not painted, broken mini blinds in the kitchen, cracks in the ceramic flooring, and the kitchen had a bad odor. They are now going after my full damage deposit. I'm stunned. Luckily, I took pictures of the place when I moved in and a video of it when I moved out. If you are thinking about renting from them, please do the same. Protect yourself!
Research and review this company before signing a thing! Also get ready for the many passive aggressive notices you will have posted to your front door. This is how they like to operate.
