Title: An Unforgettable Family Getaway!

I just had the most incredible experience staying at cottage #317 with cottage vacations! This honestly was one of the most incredible experience experiences of my entire life staying at this charming cottage, which I was lucky enough to win as a giveaway Instagram prize! I still can’t believe it!

From the moment me and my family arrived, we were captivated by its cozy ambiance and stunning surroundings. Every room felt warm and inviting, making it the perfect home away from home for our family. The blend of wood beams and modern decor created a warm, inviting atmosphere that felt like a true retreat.

The cottage was perfectly equipped for our family getaway, featuring a relaxing sauna and a luxurious hot tub. After a long day of exploring and hiking in nearby trails, unwinding in the hot tub under the stars and a full moon was the highlight of our evenings. The sauna provided a fantastic way to relax and recharge, adding a spa-like experience to our stay. We also loved relaxing on the muskoka chairs down at the dock. We could not believe all the toys this cottage also came with such as a beach, paddle boards, a canoe etc.

The location was absolutely ideal for family activities. Nestled in a picturesque area, we had close access to a network of local trails that offered breathtaking views and opportunities for exploration. Each morning, we set out to hike the nearby paths, discovering hidden gems and enjoying the beauty of nature. The trails were well-marked and suitable for all skill levels, making it easy for our whole family to participate and enjoy the great outdoors. We also went to a local yummy bakery and visited the Dorset Fire Tower look out and got to take in all the beautiful fall views! This place was also dog friendly which made it so ideal and our dog had the time of his life! He seemed so happy and comfortable the entire time with us.

Inside, we loved the well-equipped kitchen, which made it easy for us to prepare meals together. We shared meals around the dining table (both a big harvest table inside and outside) and fostered wonderful conversations and laughter. We actually ended up doing our family thanksgiving together and the kitchen space was so perfect for this. The spacious living area was also perfect for our family game nights, where we created lasting memories and enjoyed each other's company. The pool table room and outdoor fire pit was also a huge hit!

Cottage vacation rentals were exceptionally organized and amazing to deal with. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay and helped answer all our questions. They provided a helpful guidebook to make our experience so enjoyable. Check in and check out was extremely easy. It was clear that they genuinely cared about our comfort and happiness the entire time. Cottage #317 was absolutely stunning and extremely clean with everything we needed such as towels, bed linens, cooking ware etc. Literally everything we needed was included at this property, plus more!

As we packed up to leave, we couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of gratitude for the unforgettable memories we created together. This cottage is a true gem, and we are already dreaming about our next visit back and exploring more properties that cottage vacation rentals offers. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat that offers both adventure and relaxation, look no further! We can't recommend this cottage highly enough. It truly deserves 5 stars in every way possible! Special shout out as well to Alexandra Laframboise who helped arrange this cottage for us and who is so knowledgeable at her job! We would also like to thank the owners of this beautiful cottage, the rest of the cottage vacation rentals team who made this happen, and the entire cleaning team. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you thank you thank you! We are speechless and forever thankful. Words honestly can’t thank you all enough!

My family and I planned a local getaway and decided to rent a cottage in Muskoka for the weekend. Since we weren't very familiar with cottaging, we chose to book a short-term rental through CottageVacations. This was our first year renting with cottage vacations, and we rented 2 different cottages for a week in July and August. We had trouble finding something that would suit our needs with a young child and a dog. When I came across cottage vacations I was extremely impressed by how easily it was to search and navigate options and the office was always quick and prompt to reply. We had an amazing summer and wonderful experience at both of the cottages and will be sure to recommend go anyone else looking to rent. We look forward to next summer already!! ☀️

What an absolutely awful experience we had with this company. We rented a cottage that was presented as clean with trails across the acreage and wonderful sleeping quarters. It was anything but this and we stayed for one night only because we and our pups were exhausted from our trip up north and didn't want to drive back in the dark. The cottage was dirty, the fridge was dirty, there were socks under the cushions, mouse poop on all of the outside furniture and the trails were essentially non-existent, with a small quarry on the property. I sent Cottage Vacations a note to let them know of our disappointment, I didn't ask for compensation, I only wanted to let them know of the experience so they could check with the owners and make sure it is properly cleaned in future. That was over 3 weeks ago, I didn't get any acknowledgment from CV, not an email, or a text or a call. So $4k later, a week of vacation staying at our house...oh and we did go up the last Friday of that week to clean, which is how we found the dirty socks and other things! I will never use them again!!!!!!!!!!!!! Truly awful experience and service.

We had a great 3-day weekend at a beautiful cottage!

Given that the website doesn't show live availability it took a couple of tries to find a place (It does clearly state this on the website). Even though I put a second choice on my application, it didn't come through. When we were advised our 1st choice wasn't available it took an extra day to find out that our 2nd choice wasn't going to be ready on time for us. I submitted 4 other suggestions by email (without having to fill out another application), and based on my choices, they recommended another cottage that they knew was ready to be rented. It had all of the features we were looking for and once we accepted the cottage the rest of the process was easy and efficient. We received all the information we needed about the property in advance by email, the arrival instructions were clear and they offered good suggestions for where to pick up supplies on the way. The cottage turned out to be better than the other ones I requested - it was perfect for our small group of friends!

After I submitted my initial application I tried calling a couple of times on 2 different days but the mailbox was full. I tried emailing instead and they were responsive to my emails. In the end they came through and we were very happy.
