This hotel was a fantastic choice. I loved the modern and spacious lobby, the large room, and the convenient bathroom with a bidet. The underground parking was easy to access, and I could easily walk to the nearby Chinese supermarket for snacks. Griffith Observatory and Universal Studios were also within easy reach. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting L.A.

Everything was going well until the fire alarm went off at 2am. Everyone evacuated as told and we were left outside in the back parking lot for a half an hour with no further instructions. Everyone with their families were so cold and not properly dressed so we finally took matters into our own hands and went to the front. We seen people in the lobby so we went inside. They must have forgotten to go back outside and tell us it was just a mistake because nobody went back to get us. Once I got back to my room the heater was full blast yet I had the room set for 66 and it wouldn’t change from 82. The room was super hot and front desk wouldn’t answer the phone. I went up myself and the lady said there was nothing she could do about it. Basically I didn’t sleep all night and I decided to leave early in the morning to get out of that scorching hot room. My children did get sick I believe from being outside for that time and it was freezing then proceeding to a hot room. It didn’t seem like the staff cared about how what happened affected us. We need better customer service in the hotel industry. Hospitality matters.

Mixed experience.
Entered the room after checking in to find the bathroom not clean. Hair on the floor, in the basin and stuck on the walls of the shower. I don’t think the shower head or thermostat controls have ever been cleaned as were covered in limescale. The fittings were also of cheap quality, unlike other Courtyard Marriotts we have stayed in elsewhere. I reported to reception and was told it would be cleaned, and we left for the day. Upon returning that night it had not been cleaned, went to reception again the following morning and was told by the same person that rooms are only cleaned every 4 days unless specially requested. I noted that I had requested it the previous day and she was the person I spoke to! No apology or sense of urgency to rectify the situation.
We returned later to some of the hair having been cleaned, but the thick black hair stuck to the shower walls remained.
I made use of the gym which was a good amenity, and also of the pool, however for a hotel that’s only 4/5 years old the tiling in many places is coming loose and above the water level there is black scum and thick limescale.
Expensive parking rates are a put off- we parked across the street instead for free.
Overall the service levels were the lasting memory and I’m not sure we would return.

Unfortunately, tonight was not what I had experienced on my last visit here. Being a loyal Bonvoy member over the last several years, I have to say I’m quite disappointed with the service here at this particular property. We had booked a double Queen suite and always request high floors which is on our profile. Tonight we were given a handicapped room which was the “suite” we booked however it was just that, handicapped/wheelchair accessible. It did not suit our needs and the room was very different than what we had booked. There are several examples of the difference between the two which I wont go in detail but it was not comfortable and not what we had booked on the website. They also put us on the very lowest floor as well. Needless to say we were charged the same amount of money for a room that I did not book. And last, I was denied check in tonight unless my husband was physically there with me to check in. Fortunately, he was in the car otherwise I’m not sure I would have had a place to stay tonight. This was contradictory to my last visit here two weeks ago. It was only me last time and I was able to check in no problem. I also mentioned that to the manager, Crystal but she was pretty unhelpful. The whole experience has been stressful and unfortunately we won’t return due to the poor customer service.

Our room itself was nice and spacious. The neighborhood has good, walkable food options.

However there is something really wrong with their internal communications and operations. We stayed for 3 nights and did not receive housekeeping a single time.

Upon returning to our room the first time and seeing that it hadn’t been cleaned, I figured that maybe it was a situation where housekeeping needed to be specifically requested? Fine. I put in a request that same night for our room to be serviced the following day. Before leaving for the day, I double check this request with a different front desk employee. She confirms that my request is “in their system”. Low and behold, we return late night and see that our room has not been cleaned at all once again!

As a side note, weirdly stingy about giving out bottled water? There’s 5 of us staying in the room but we can’t get more than 2 bottles of water a day, and it’s apparently a “super strict policy”. Such a weird angle to try to slim down costs.

Given that this trip is an annual tradition for us, I would’ve liked for our stay to be excellent to save myself the trouble of finding a new hotel next year.

We came to the area for my friend’s wedding and stayed here as the location was very convenient. ||The property itself is quite nice - there is a nice hotel scent and you can tell it’s a pretty new construction. Staff, especially at the bistro, were super friendly! The room and amenities were not bad either - but here’s where things go downhill. ||Waze completely navigated us to the wrong side of the street (this should be fixed) so we spent time circling the block looking for the hotel until we saw it on the other side. ||The rooms are noisy. In general, the walls are thin. We had a room overlooking the street and could hear everythinggggg happening out there, along with whatever was happening in the rooms next door (guy with morning throat clearing issues, I’m looking at you). Also, the vent/HVAC system is noisy in that it’s not white noise! It helps noise travel from wherever directly into your room. This did not provide for a very peaceful stay. ||Finally, the parking pass provided never worked. There is a barcode that you are supposed to scan but every time we did it said “invalid code” so we had to call for help every time we went in or out of the parking garage. ||Would I stay there again? Probably not, unless I really needed to be in the area and no other alternatives were available.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary in LA and stayed at this wonderful hotel. The hotel is new and the nicest courtyard I have ever stayed in. It is in a safe quiet area right off the highway. The location is great as it is in an Asian neighborhood. If you are in the mood for bakeries or HK style cafe this is the place. There is a restaurant right in the hotel for dim sum. The hotel staff were great and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I'm not sure why the rating is sitting at 4.1, but I do know this hotel is perfect. Great restaurants and a nice Boba spot too. Parking is really easy and the access to your car is close. Cannot say enough good things about this place. 4th stay here many more to come!!!
