Don helped me as executor of my mom's estate to sell her house just before COVID 19 hit. I had already interviewed several other realtors - they all seemed like nice people, but none of them felt right. When I met Don, I knew he was the right one - experienced, knowledgeable, straightforward, and really wanting to work in partnership with me. It was going to be a complicated sale because the house had foundation damage from construction next door, and I needed someone with experience handling a sale with issues. Don did brilliantly. After one weekend of showing, we had 11 offers, the majority significantly over asking, and the deal was concluded within 2 weeks of listing. Not bad for a house with foundation damage. Of course timing helped and the fact that the house was entry-level in a low supply market. But Don really worked at it, putting in hours of prep work. You can tell he has years of experience by how strategic his marketing is. And what I really appreciated was how Don stayed in touch with me every step of the way. He did everything personally rather than handling things to other staff. He even handled meeting with the landscape gardeners and contractors who came to spruce up the place, so I didn't have to make trips to the house. He really tries to add value for the commission he gets. He works hard and tries to make things easier for you. He's also a salesman, in a good way, which is of course what a realtor has to be. I found him upfront and truthful but astute in understanding negotiation strategy and how purchasers think. He was a great choice and I would recommend him. My other advice, if you have a complicated sale, is to have a lawyer on retainer to consult on tricky legal issues during the negotiations. Don is an excellent realtor but not a lawyer.
