We have lived in our Edgewater home for five years. In the first year, the builders were responsive to issues related to excess condensation and ice buildup in the mechanical room, as well as water dripping outside the house. However, despite these initial efforts, we have faced significant problems every winter.

We expected these issues to be resolved under our new home warranty, but unfortunately, that has not been the case. Multiple contractors were sent to assess the situation, yet there was little to no follow-up. We often received conflicting information about what would be done to address the problem. Now, five years later, with the new home warranty expired, the issue remains unresolved.

It is incredibly frustrating to invest in a new home and continue to face such persistent problems. We are now going to have to replace casing and baseboards in many different areas. However, these cosmetic fixes will not address the underlying issues with the HVAC and furnace system which we received no help with over these past 5 years.

We bought a new house recently and needed the basement finished. Our realtor suggested Edgewater for the work. Within a couple of days, Wayne and Dax came by and we decided on a plan.
They were able to start the work quickly, finish on time, for the agreed upon amount, and the work was top notch.
I especially want to compliment Scott for having everything so well organized, communicating with us so well, for the extra care he and the team took to make sure they had a process in place ensuring our animals were safe and didn’t get out.
I can’t recommend Edgewater enough; the work was fantastic and the people on the team were even better!

The whole team at Edgewater is incredible. This was our first home and the experience could not have been any better. When we first met Wayne, we were still many months out from being ready to purchase, but he still took the time to educate us on the process and what to look out for when looking for a new home. Once we decided to purchase with Edgewater the experience was great from start to finish. You can tell they really care about delivering quality homes and the final product blew away all of our expectations. They went through all of the options in depth with us and made sure we were happy with everything we chose. The house was even completed 2 months early. We are moved in now, and they are still taking their time to make sure everything is perfect for us. They have made sure any little thing that needs to be adjusted is fixed and they are always quick to respond. There was a large snowstorm that happened when we first moved in and they have even taken time out of their day to clear snow for us. I wish I could give Edgewater 10 stars because our experience has been nothing short of that. Dax, Wayne, Sue, Brittany, and Scott, thank you very much for everything, you've made this a great experience for us both. If anyone is looking for a new home, this should be the first and only place you go.

As an owner of this company I am very proud of what we have accomplished in such a short amount of time. This could not have been done without our Staff, Trades, Suppliers and Land Developers. The Design, Detail and Delivery is unprecedented. The owners have lived in many different models that we have built to improve the smallest of things.
Edgewater Homes is an industry leader in North America by the way we build. It is proven by having each home tested and having Quality Controls every step of the way. Our standard is our competitors buyers upgrade.
Everytime we build a Home if we’ve found a better way to do something we will implement it immediately.
Since the companies inception this industry has changed the most it ever has in such a short amount of time but we’ve adapted every step of the way and it has made us better.

I usually do not write reviews but our experience with Edgewater was so great that I decided to write one. We highly recommend Edgewater to anyone looking for a well-built home with excellent customer service! We would definitely buy a home from them again!

Buying process: We saw houses in the area built by other builders and we didn't see the same quality as in an Edgewater home. Some houses looked nice but the difference in the details/quality was very noticeable.
We would like to thank Wayne for answering all our questions, for providing us with flexibility with dates/ deadlines during the buying process and for ultimately making it possible for us to purchase our dream home.

Possession day and walk through: On possession day, Susan and Dax welcomed us and provided us with lots of helpful information, a very detailed walk through around the house as well as a binder with important and useful information on how to take care of the house, contact numbers for services, etc.

Additional fixes: during the first few days living in our new home, we noticed some small deficiencies and contacted Edgewater. Dax and Scott came in and addressed every single one of them, fixing on the same day or setting up an appointment for later. Everything was dealt with. They are extremely efficient, professional and also friendly. They are outstanding! Two thumbs up! Thank you!

E-mail and communication: excellent customer service! Every time we needed anything, they were responsive and provided help, information and solved any issues in a timely manner.

Finally, buying a house is such a challenging process with lots of variables... We tried to eliminate as many variables as possible by choosing a great quality home. An Edgewater home was the right choice for us and we couldn't be happier with our new home! We highly recommend Edgewater to anyone looking for a well-built home with excellent customer service! First time building a house and they made the process easy and seamless! They kept us up to date throughout the build. Brittany was awesome to help with design ideas and knew the vibe of what we wanted and made sure everything looked cohesive. Dax made sure everything stayed on track, which lead to our house being finished early! Would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to build.

I would suggest, Edgewater should reconsider having Jamie as their sale representative ;who is providing false information about prices to clients and then to the client’s Agents. He should remain true to his original conversation and not deny what he said. Also, he act and speak like he is the owner of the company and he can make decisions rather asking the builder what they can do. He is representing Edgewater that doesn’t make him the owner. We opt out just because he told us, my coworker and my real agent all different prices about a property that leads my coworker and I both to not buy Edgewater house.
