They had construction for months on the parking lot, so I had to park on the street, I got tickets, they they won't even give me a letter saying they had construction and there was no parking here! No support. After all the years living through all the construction constantly, they redid the parking lot twice, every morning jackhammers (and I work nights), stuff leaking into the basement from above and onto my car, I never complained. All I wanted was a letter, they can't even give me a letter. I'm a good quiet tenant and I always pay my rent. Are they giving me a hard time to get me to move? Seems to be a trend these days.

Please do not rent a place from Eiwo Canadian management they are thiefs and very dishonest. Please make sure you always require written proof when communicating with them. We lived at 290 dixon road for five years and were relocating to another city due to work, we called the superintendent mid December 2023 to inform her that we relocating to another city at the 31 of January. 2024. She did inform us at first we are required to give a two month notification however, she said she will talk to the management to see if we can move at the end of January since they have a high demand of waiting list. The superintendent got back to us and stated that she spoke to the management and they Said we are good to go therefore we don't need to pay rent for January since we have first and last deposit. 31 January 2024. we cleaned the apartment nicely and returned the keys to the superintendent. They started doing renovations immediately because the apartment was going to be rented out on March 1st. Six months later they sent us to collection agency because they are now claiming we didn't give two months notification. Pls be vigilant when dealing with this company because they will scam and reep for money the don't deserve from you.

I've been living at 209 Oakland Drive in Hamilton for 13.5 YEARS. For the first 5-8 years we delt with constant flooding in our Kitchen and the wall shared between the living room and kitchen due to the pipes in the bulkhead in the ceiling. Once they finally caved and replaced the entire pipe line from my unit into the main hallway, I fought them for a year to replace the warped, falling off the ceiling cupboards that were damaged from the constant leaks we had. Every time we had these leaks, we were left to clean it up ourselves. The elevator was constantly breaking down for years (6 floored building) before they finally replaced it, and it still has issues. Now for over a year, the garbage chute has not been available due to the compactor breaking. Promised to have it fixed as soon as they could. Still no word on that. But God forbid you pay rent mid month instead of the beginning of the month and they are trying to take you to court. We also had a heating pipe burst in one of our bedrooms while we weren't home. Entire unit was flooded. Guess who cleaned that up too, ourselves. EIWO is the worst property management company I have come across. They want their money in the bank without having to do anything to the buildings. Stay away. I could write a book that amount of problems we have dealt with.

EDIT TO ADD: instead of posting notices all over the building about the garbage being mixed, you could solve the problem by FIXING THE GARBAGE CHUTE.

The garbage chute at 209 Oakland has been broken for over a year and there has been no attempt to fix it. Elderly and disabled tenants have to drag themselves downstairs and into the parking lot, even in inclement weather, just to take out garbage. The building is not accessible and does not have access ramps for anyone with mobility devices, despite having disabled tenants in the building. The company would rather send a plumber once a week to do barely anything than actually fix the buildings water issues. The superintendent is the only one who does any work for EIWO apparently. At least he cares about what happens here.

The rental prices are absurd for such a huge management company. They keep increasing the rent by the maximum allowed. They are now charging for parking and they are well above the market rate for their moldy and old units. The owners are so cheap, I received several appliances that are more than 20 years old and needed a bleach bath. The office people are rude as well.

The worst management team ever I live at 605 Davenport and it’s treated as a dump no one cares enough to do anything;
Garbage everywhere
Junkies in the building with weapons
Garbages full all the time
Property manager shows her face for 10 minutes and is on her way
Stay clear as they are trying to rent double the price for units with 0 care

New management is petty and doesn’t consider the building residents safety. Constantly shoving letters under our doors talking down to and threatening us with fake codes.

I would never rent under EIWO ever again. The employees are extremely rude and the properties are poorly maintained. Our apartment had a huge crack in the bedroom window letting in a draft (which the landlord was aware of when we originally signed a lease), and after countless maintenance request forms, it never got fixed (we lived there for 2 YEARS). The water temperature in our shower fluctuated whenever someone in the building flushed a toilet or had the sink running. Our toilet constantly leaked despite our maintenance requests. Not to mention the constant smell of weed and cigarette smoke in the hallways (because smoking outside the building was not enforced). When we finally decided to move out, we were met with hostility from the property manager. I would ask questions, and get a reply stating "we don't have time for this, figure it out". I can't believe a business can actually be run in this manner. But I guess as long as the rent is being paid, EIWO doesn't have to make any effort for its tenants. Oh and hopefully you don't have a vehicle, because there may not be enough parking spots in the parking lot. EIWO actually sent our building a notice stating "don't plan on getting a new car because we don't have space for you".
I highly recommend STAYING AWAY from EIWO. There are much better places out there that actually meet your Ontario Tenants Rights.
