UPDATE 2: EXIT Just sent me a legal threat to take this review down saying it was libelous and defamatory, but failed to say which parts were. Apparently Exit would rather sue to shut people up than act ethically to earn respect and trust.

UPDATE: After I left this review, the manager Scott emailed me a one line insult. This is the kind of professionalism you can expect from exit realty.

I would never trust these people with my affairs ever again. I should have known better when I saw them advertising on the back of a bus for real estate agents with 'No experience Necessary'. The person that runs the office I dealt with comes across like a slick used car salesman who is only interested in getting paid. Make sure you do your research before contacting them. There are MANY horror stories online about this company.

At least 8 of the 28 reviews (At the time of writing) for this company are from CURRENT employee's, you can google the names. This is a violation of Google's rules of the review system and ANOTHER example of how unethical this company is.

The agents will not keep appointments, they will forget to tell you about details you need and will just walk into your house unannounced whenever they feel like it. When an agent from the Dartmouth office missed an appointment, they just used the code to unlock my door later on that evening and walked into my house while I was standing there in my underwear. When I reported this to their office manager, they dismissed it like it was no big deal. This wasn't a new agent; they had been selling for ten years.

The agent I dealt with complained about the paperwork and rarely submitted any document for signature that didn't have some kind of error on it. I made the mistake of allowing them to do my mortgage financing (Other people told me that afterwards this was unethical). They got details wrong, very wrong. They intentionally or unintentionally falsified credit details and then said "It doesn't really matter" when confronted about it. They reported details about our home and our car that were false. Again, when confronted about it, the greasy used car manager type that runs the place just said "Let me know if you have any proof" and "That's a mortgage issue, you're complaining to the wrong person".

When my agent found out I was an IT Technician, they asked me how they could install secret recording software on someone else’s phone without them knowing. I should have fired them right there but wasn’t sure what to do at first.

I would personally go elsewhere in a hurry.

I don't normally write reviews, but after seeing what other people are saying about this company online, and after seeing that some are now getting sued for it, I thought maybe my opinion matters here too. My agent said everything they needed to get my business. I found out later it's a bunch of lies. They were never available when I needed to talk to them and I'm not sure they knew what they were doing in the first place as they made some really dumb mistakes. I wish so badly that I could go back and change my mind about hiring them. Maybe the nightmare that ensued would never have happened. If you're thinking about hiring them... don't... just don't. You'll live to regret it.

Just want to say a Big Thank You to Troy Boutilier at Exit Realty. Troy handled the sale of my two houses and was helpful in every way. He was responsive to phone calls and prompt in replying to messages. He went out of his way to make sure we understood all aspects of the paperwork involved in the sale. Troy is knowledgeable about structural issues and gave good advice regarding what needed to be dealt with on both properties to make them more saleable, including building a substantial deck to enhance the value of my home. This guy goes above and beyond for his clients.

Want to say thank you to Troy Boutilier for being an agent we can count on. Troy has helped us find homes in new communities, and sold our existing homes with support and guidance we needed throughout the process. We are on our 3rd and final transaction with Troy 🙁 Again he is helping us sell our dream home so we can move yet again but this time it will be out of the country. This particular sale is challenging for us and Troy has continued to keep us informed and up to date.

I just purchased a home that was listed under Troy Boutilier and this is where the buying experience went downhill. My agent was struggling to get information and documents on multiple occasions and left for days on end waiting for answers and documents requested. When we did receive the documents needed the photos were not legible which demonstrated sloppy work and disregard to provide proper documentation which is crucial to closing a sale on a house in which we almost missed the closing due to the lack of care on his end. Once we did close the sale, and did the final walk-through, there was some issues with the home that needed to be addressed as the house was not left in the condition as it was, when the offer was made. My agent had contacted Troy about this in hopes to have the issues rectified but instead, he verbally assaulted my agent and was preventing the sale from going through even further luckily for me things worked out, but if it didn’t, he would’ve cost me The purchase of my home, which is unacceptable.
