they charged us twice with no explanation of the second charge until we called multiple times. They then said to contact a different representative without providing a phone number

the car we took out did not have working headlights. We brought this up before leaving the rental place, and 2 employees said it should work no problem once we drive outside. They pressed a few buttons to no avail, but ensured that they'll work. For the duration of the rental, the lights did not work. We voiced this issue when dropping off the car and were told sorry many times by the inspector for the lights not working, and to give a detailed slip to management (which we did) and that we would be contacted (we never were). We finally reached out ourselves, just to be told that we don't qualify for any refund or compensation because we did not say something sooner. We were packed with events and appointments the entire time and wouldn't have had time, but that didn't matter to Fox car rental. Additionally, we were told the lights worked just fine, despite the inspector testing them in front of us at drop-off and apologizing profusely...

Side note - when picking up the car, there were 2 front desk employees serving a line of at least 30 people. It took us nearly an hour to reach the desk, and longer to finally get our car.

Avoid this company like the plague. They're awful. Spend a bit more elsewhere.

I have faced several negative experiences with Economy Rent A Car. I’ve noticed that the company frequently changes its name, which causes a lot of confusion, especially when everything is handled online without prior notice or clarification. Changing the name doesn’t necessarily improve the level of service, but it often feels like an attempt to hide issues or implement unclear strategies.

I kindly request that you address this matter and ensure better transparency in your operations to enhance the customer experience and avoid such unpleasant surprises in the future.

Horrible experience… made the reservation through Expedia and declined the insurance since my credit card offers car rental insurance… as soon as I arrived, the representative stated that I must take their insurance for $12 a day and if not, I must provide proof of the insurance certificate, which I did and then he said it’ll be $5 to not take their insurance…. Be AWARE… I was left stranded and had to make another reservation elsewhere. Do not trust their online pricing… the price went from $26 to $42 magically… Also, they tried to change the reservation from unlimited kilometres to 200 kilometres…NOT WORTH YOUR TIME…

If I could give zero stars, I would. This was an absolutely terrible experience from start to finish. The place was disgustingly dirty, and there was no customer service to speak of. The staff were extremely rude and made us wait an unnecessarily long time. To make matters worse, they lied on their website about offering unlimited kilometers. Once we arrived, we were told there’s a daily limit instead—completely misleading and dishonest. The overall atmosphere and service were appalling. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere!

The customer service I experienced was extremely unprofessional. I have a reservation scheduled for pick up in several months from now and came across numerous reviews regarding the use of personal insurance, and over charging. To address my concerns, I called for clarification, selecting the reservation option since the other options went unanswered. When I mentioned my worries about the insurance policies and the negative reviews, the representative abruptly placed me on hold and after about five minutes, disconnected the call. I tried reaching out again, but each time, she answered only to hang up immediately.

Based on this experience, I advise trusting the reviews and avoiding this service. The level of service was unacceptable, and I will be cancelling my reservation.

Toral fraud! Our confirmation indicated "unlimited mileage" but they changed their words and offer us only 1000 miles. Absolute terrible place! Does not recommend
