I have been renting the same unit for roughly 8 years and would have given 5 stars up until I spoke with Dan to renew my lease this year. I rent a 2 bedroom non-renovated/not premium unit, my neighbors who rent the same type unit pays $100 less them me. When I brought that up with Dan his solution was to raise my rent 141 dollars more, but since I was a good, long term tenant he would only raise it $80 to $1400, which as of today is still $70 more then they advertise my unit for on their website and 200 dollars more then my neighbors paying. The only difference between me and him is I am on disability and he’s not, so in-conclusion, if your income is disability and don’t want to be priced out of a home eventually, I would not recommend it here but other then that my experience here was great and will miss it here.

I have lived at this address for almost 36years and have mostly been happy here. The only problems I have had are mainly persons living above me. Most of been good but there have been a few undesirable. I was disappointed when they decided that carpets were a thing of the past especially in the upstairs units. There is very little, if any, insulation between floors and the noise factor is loud especially if there are little children living above and run back and forth. When I moved in here, before boardwalk took over, there was a regulation that children were not allowed in upstairs units. Something which has not been carried forward by boardwalk but should be

Great place! Maintenance guys are always out mowing or shovelling. Any requests to management are sent via Boardwalk portal and they always get back to you the same day. The current managers Kelly and Charlene have gone above and beyond. Very helpful and great team.

We've recently moved into Garden Oaks and have had nothing but a positive experience. Our intake manager was very accommodating to our move in requirements and our time line. We pointed out some minor repairs and the need for some appliances needing to be repaired or replaced and these have all been completed to our satisfaction. When we've made any requests on the residents webpage we get an immediate response and an email confirmation of receipt and course of action by the next working day. Also I 'd like to say that the maintenance and site grounds keeper are amazing, the site is exceptionally clean. We'd would highly recommend Garden Oaks to anyone looking for housing near the Millwoods Rec Center. Thank you Bill & Loretta Mochniuk.
