The Girard Smith Team, Karen and Jeff, are simply the best! I do not say this lightly, but confidently, and let me share a few reasons to back it up.

Part 1 - Karen - Selling experience
I first met Karen about five years ago when she listed and sold my mother-in-law’s home. She was professional, trustworthy, and knowledgeable about the market. Her marketing of the house was exceptional.

I then reached out to her about three years ago, when I was relocating to another province. She met with me as many times as I needed, provided suggestions of what I could do prior to listing my condo to attract more buyers.

Her marketing of the condo was brilliant - it was listed on several media sites, both before hitting the market and after, and the printed materials were perfect. She was in constant communication with me, updating on activity and feedback that she received. The photography and videos of the condo were professional and every little detail was attended to, including information about what the area could offer, by way of parks, wooded areas, biking trails, shopping, etc.

Part 2: Jeff - Buying experience

This brings us to now and our experience working with Karen and Jeff - but mostly Jeff - on the recent purchase of our new home. From the moment we contacted them (about eight months ago) to ask for their assistance with our move, they have been there for us.

The Girard Smith Team made certain that they knew what we were looking for in a home (our ‘need to have list’), and as well, made sure that we were aware of the housing market before we even arrived in Winnipeg, so that we would be ready to actively look.

Once our home sale was completed and we made the move, Jeff took the lead role as our realtor and has been nothing short of amazing. We immediately felt comfortable and confident in his ability to navigate us through this process. He clearly knew what we were looking for and provided us with several houses to consider. He always encouraged us to not settle and if we were going to write an offer, that we had to be 100% sure about the home and location. In time, he gently introduced the idea of looking outside of our preferred areas and took us to just outside of Winnipeg and this is where we ultimately purchased our home.

One of Jeff’s strengths is his evaluation of houses and spotting potential issues related to the structural integrity or other concerns of a home. As well he provides insight into the location and all that it may have to offer. In general he is a great source of information on all things real estate related, which gave us confidence with our decision. There was never a question that we had, that was not responded to promptly and professionally.

Jeff, along with his wife Karen are such positive, encouraging, honest, supportive and knowledgeable individuals. They genuinely want the best outcome for their clients and do everything within their power to get it for them. We definitely felt like a part of the “TEAM”.
