The process of selling a home is often worrisome, stressful and frustrating experience for homeowners who list their homes for sale.

Homeowners (sellers) often put their trust in the hands of professional real estate agents, entrusting their hard earned lifetime investment to representing real estate agent and the trust is the key word in this process.

When selling someone's home, real estate agents should ALWAYS be cognitive of the needs and wants of the sellers they represent, maintain a level of communication culture that ensure respectful and trusting relationship.

I must admit that in the past, I did not exactly have such experience. Rather, our attempt to sell our home turned into a very frustrating affair.

Some agents, in order to get a listing, would "sugarcoat" the listing qualities, “inflate” asking price just to get listing and then when the seller is committed and lists the home, the game of “price cutting” and "home value reduction" starts and in my personal experience I am not talking about $10-20,000 dollars cuts, I am talking about hundreds of thousands of dollar cuts, as such amounts of money fall from the sky. Thanks God that we did not "have" to sell our home, thus we never gave in to requests to reduce the price of our home.

After listing our high end luxury home with the same agent for three years in a row, through a relatively hot sellers market, we were somehow unable to sell our home despite the fact that we had a wonderful and unique place. It is hard to comprehend how we did not manage to get even a single offer on paper over the course of almost 3 years on a market. Seriously.

Then in September 2021 we decided to switch the real estate agent and we entrusted our listing to Kevin Girard. Immediately upon listing our home through Kevin we started getting written offers.
Mind you, not in the price range that would make us sell our home, but there was immediate “action” and documented interest which was lacking for almost 3 previous years.

At the end, an appreciative buyer came and we sold our home through Kevin for a 98,9% of asking price. That surely would not have been possible without Kevin's expertise, persistence and knowledge of how to market an exclusive high end home and how to close a deal.

I would personally like to thank Kevin for his professionalism, his 24 hrs a day availability, his open communication and honesty, respect and hard work he put into our joint project of selling our “unsellable” home. At no point of time did we feel pressured, or mislead.

I wish to thank Kevin for trusting us as much as we trusted him, for his hard work and his optimism.

I worked with a number of sales agents in the past and besides Sue De Paulo, a wonderful realtor who has now retired, Kevin Girard is the only other realtor that I would ever work with again.

If there is a statement that can describe Kevin and his sales skills it would be reflected in the old Roman proverb:
