The apartment itself is great but management could use more transparency. They try and shift blame to tenants for things that are their fault. Some examples:
- packages being stolen because there is no on-site staff or package management system (management response is to discourage tenants from having packages delivered, no immediate plans to have package management system added)
- cleaning staff used to come infrequently so garbage cans regularly overflowed (management response is to tell tenants to not use those cans too much, but behind the scenes increased cleaning efforts)
- dumpster regularly overflowing (management response is to install a gate around the dumpster and email tenants telling them to be more careful when throwing away trash)

I've lived in a Gorham building now for almost 4 years, I've had little interaction with the owners so can't speak to their practices, but my review is specifically based on their staff. Their admin Cindy and all of the maintenance people I've interacted with over the years have been fantastic. They are kind, dedicated people and I have always felt they've done the best they can to address any concerns I've had. In fact, one time their painters were here working on another unit and when i was having car trouble out in the parking lot, the two there took notice and, without asking, changed my tire!!!! Simply claiming that "my rent pays their salary". In sum, my interactions with Gorham staff has been absolutely lovely and genuine from the beginning and their kindness and helpfulness has made me happy to rent with this company.

I have rent from Gorham in the past 3 years. It was easy and professional experience overall. There has been work orders and lease changing several times from us and they acted quick. They have also kept the apt building clean all the time and been reasonable in the rental price during the pandemic. There have been just one single issue with them but was my fault to begain with. They waived my cleaning and gave my full deposit back even though I might have done a little damage to the apt here and there. Therefore, as long as you take care of the apt and follow the contract, you would not go wrong with them. Will rent from them again in the future if I needed to.

I rented an apartment from Gorham with my husband for 5 years and we had a great experience. The apartment building was clean and well maintained. The maintenance workers always came quickly to fix any issues and they are super friendly. The office always responded quickly to any questions or complaints. My only complaint is that parking can get tight but they do monitor the parking lot, especially at the beginning of the school year when people are parking there who shouldn't be (if your building is close to campus). My move in and move out went seamlessly as well. If the right unit came available, we would rent from Gorham again without any concerns. We only moved because it was time to upgrade to a bigger place and Gorham didn't have a unit available.

Although they were very fast with fixing repairs and confirming with you on all questions, i found that i was being talk to like a child. i have had a great experience other than the fact that i did not like the way i was spoken to coming near the end of the lease. Would still however recommend this company for their speedy fixations.

We rented the same spot from Gorham Real Estate for 11 years and it was hands down, an awesome,
5 star experience. Any issues we experienced in the apartment were immediately addressed and fixed. They are a very professional, company . . they don't cut corners, they main their properties, and genuinely care about their tenants. The entire Gorham team are awesome! We will always remember our spot on George Street fondly. Thanks for the great 11 years Gorham Real Estate!!

I lived in a Gorham Realty Apartment for two years without complaint. Their staff was incredibly accommodating, helpful, and supportive. Anytime we needed something checked in on, or if we needed maintenance done, they were there within a short period of time. Driveways were always plowed early in the morning, and walkways were shoveled. There were even a few times I locked myself out mistakenly and they were right there to help me.

The apartment itself was the most gorgeous I have ever lived in during my adult life. The only reason my husband and I are moving out is because we bought a house. If we hadn't, we would still be in the same spot for years to come.

Thank you to Gorham's awesome staff - it's been a pleasure to rent from you.

I had a great experience with Gorham Real Estate. I had to break my lease early because I was buying a house and Kate was super helpful! She advertised and showed my apartment and had it rented within a week of my telling her I needed to move out. I was really impressed and would definitely recommend them to others.
