Unresolved Initial Inspection Issues: Several problems from our Initial Inspection Report were unaddressed since moving in on November 11, 2023, including the front door partially painted, paint residue on cupboards and doors, paint chips on kitchen countertops and floors, discoloured windowpanes, no fireplace cover, holes in basement walls, and a rusty bathroom vanity. Despite promises from property management to resolve these issues within a week, no maintenance requests were logged and no actions were ever taken throughout the duration of us living within the unit.

Energized Stall Issue: Since moving into the complex in November 2023, we have consistently paid for an energized parking stall as part of our lease with Boardwalk. However, during the extreme cold temperatures from January 21st the end of February 2024, the stall had no power despite multiple attempts to plug in our car. Numerous calls to the leasing office resulted in promises that an electrician would resolve the issue promptly. The problem remained unresolved until mid April 2024. Moreover, the Boardwalk Residential Yuhu platform showed no record of a maintenance request for this issue, despite our repeated efforts to report it.

Mice Infestation: Since March 2024, we have been dealing with a persistent mouse problem in our property. Despite setting traps and catching a mouse, sightings of mouse droppings in our pantry and bathroom cupboards continued. We’ve identified several potential entry points in the walls, including one area where the mice are using toilet paper to build a nest. This issue is extremely troubling due to the health hazards associated with mice. We reported the infestation to the property management team multiple times, and they assured us that inspections would be conducted within the unit. However, their response was inadequate; they only placed a few traps in the basement. After a few weeks, they claimed there were no signs of mice in our unit, despite being shown evidence of the trapped mouse and the extensive droppings found throughout the premises.

Basement Leak: On April 2, 2024, we discovered a leak in our basement and called for emergency maintenance services. A maintenance member arrived promptly but only stayed for approximately two minutes, attributing the leak to melting snow entering through foundation cracks. They mentioned coordinating with the landscaping team for a more accurate assessment. About a week later, a contractor came to patch the leak and informed us of five other areas that were also leaking, including one behind an electrical panel that needed to be addressed later. Since then, no further action has been taken to address the leak.

Move-Out Experience: Our scheduled move-out date was May 31, 2024. Due to the overwhelming mice droppings and lack of action from the property team, we broke our lease without paying termination fees. We were informed that we had until the end of the day on May 31, 2024, to remove our belongings. During the move-out inspection at approximately 3:00 PM, we informed the property manager that we would return within 30 minutes with help to move a heavy wardrobe. However, upon our return, we discovered that the wardrobe had been removed by the maintenance team and left by the dumpsters, damaged beyond repair. Our attempts to contact the property manager to discuss the matter were ignored.

We were surprised to learn that a new tenant was scheduled to move into our unit on June 1, 2024, without addressing the foundation leaks and mice infestation. This decision jeopardizes the safety and well-being of the new tenant and reflects poorly on the management's commitment to maintaining their properties. We urge the property team to take immediate action to rectify these issues to prevent further inconvenience and potential harm to future tenants.

Its quiet, comfortable, very spacious units. Yards are small, but thats to be expected.
No infestations, neighbors are friendly.
The staff is amazing to deal with, even the maintenance guys always have a smile.
Landscaping is done on a tight routine, notices given prior to everything being done.

The management is bubbly, friendly, we share laughs sometimes too. They routinely check on their complexes upkeep. They are vigilant about problematic people too, which has made this place the best place we've ever lived.

The townhouses are well insulated, wood fireplace too. Energy saving windows, new upgrades when we first moved in, they're excellent at responding to maintenance calls of any kind. Our utility bills are lower with all these extras they been adding to the place too.

Me and my family have lived in Granville square for awhile now and it’s been great! Love that it’s pet friendly and a great place to raise our daughter. Maintenance has taken care of each and every small issue quickly and efficiently, and they make is so easy to communicate. I would recommend Granville Square 100%

Lived here for two years and when it comes to getting anything fixed, is an absolute battle. Their maintenance team is not qualified nor trained for the jobs. Our screen door was broken since move in day and that was an absolute battle to become replaced. Structure issues are very bad and flooring extremely uneven. Not to mention, VERY overpriced for what you’re getting. Do your research, shop around, these towns houses are way over the price point they should be. Even shameful I’m summertime there is no care when it comes to the lawn. There are places that staff do not cut and weeds are taking over. Very disappointed with this rental and would not recommend.

It’s been a month since we moved into Granville Square and the experience has been amazing. From the first call to look at the place to being settled in... Charlene and Kelly have been fantastic and helped us along the way with being so friendly and knowledgeable! The neighbourhood is great and the area is very well cared for. Highly recommend.

I have lived here at Granville Square for 10 years. Over the years I have had nothing but wonderful customer service from the Boardwalk staff especially Charlene who has gone over and above to remedy minor issues in a timely manner and she is always pleasant to deal with. I would not hesitate to recommend Granville Square as a place to call home.

So far so great here at Granville. They are very pet friendly and the neighbours we have are all lovely. In the last two months being here, it has been a lovely. All of the staff have been lovely to us as well.
