Not a safe place to live. Expect your car to be broken into at least twice a year with management doing nothing about it. To management, before you reply this comment, publicly acknowledge the security flaws and think about how to fix it. Don’t come here with a useless “send an email to this address and we’ll investigate”. What has your previous investigation done to stop this occurrence? Useless. Three cars were broken into today, including mine. Leaving me with a $900 repair because thieves broke my rear windshield. When i asked to see the video footage, they had the audacity to tell me for privacy reasons they cannot show me. WHOSE PRIVACY? So management protects the privacy of thieves and does not protect residents. Very unsafe place.

Over the past two weeks, there have been two incidents of car windows being smashed, which is extremely concerning. Despite our attempts to communicate with management, their response has been dismissive and unhelpful, almost dictatorial in nature. Their suggestion to park on roads adds to the sense of insecurity. This situation exemplifies a failure in management and renders the living environment unsafe.

Absolutely disappointed with the lack of security and management's attitude at this apartment building. My car's window has been broken not once, but twice due to vandalism and attempted theft, and it's been an ongoing issue for the past couple of years. Despite this recurring problem, the building management has shown no initiative in implementing additional security measures to ensure the safety of its tenants. When I brought up my concerns to the management, their response was incredibly rude and dismissive. It's appalling to see such negligence and apathy towards the safety and well-being of the residents. Steer clear of this place unless you're comfortable with constant security threats and unresponsive management

Literally hate the management, Someone broke into my car and my every single thing from car is missing my license documents, all the cards, etc and the managers attitude is upto the sky.when called to report the issue they are being dominant on me. Are they serving us or am I serving you guys Management have the video in which someone walking into the basement trying to get to each car asked for video they refused to provide it, when asked what actions will you guys be taking management answers nothing much we could do take care of your things by yourself, am I paying you 150$ for this answers Is this the security you are giving us The staff needs to be changed from here as its not tolerable and it has not happened to just me but all of us who lives here. We are paying thousands of rent and really bad service is what we are getting. I request some higher senior authorities to go through all the incidents happened in the building.

My experience at Halifax Apartments - Scotia Towers has been short of disappointing and alarming. In just the past two weeks, there have been two incidents of car break-ins within our supposedly secure premises. Despite our earnest attempts to address these safety concerns with management, their response has been shockingly dismissive and unhelpful.

Instead of taking proactive measures to ensure the security of residents, management's suggestions have only added to our sense of insecurity. Their refusal to acknowledge the severity of the situation and their dictatorial approach in handling residents' concerns is unacceptable.

Furthermore, their suggestion to park on public roads as a solution exacerbates the safety risks we face daily. This blatant disregard for residents' well-being and the failure to address security issues adequately have created an environment where residents no longer feel safe.

What a great place to live if you're looking for something right in the middle of down town. This building provides great amenities (gym, pool, hot tub, social room), close to bus stops, restaurants, and a pedway walk to Scotia Square mall. My experience with the staff has been excellent and I'm impressed with their ability to resolve issues in a timely manner.

Avoid if possible.

I have lived there for about 2.5 years. The building is old, the suite I lived in was not renovated.

One upper cupboard's door fell while using because of missing nails. Some parts of the floor were broken which was hard to clean. Ongoing cockroaches problems with "useless" pest control started on the day I moved in. Bed bug issue with "useless" pest control for 2 months which was the main reason that made me move out and threw away my bed and mattress. No modern fan in the bathroom, ventilating after taking shower could be a problem. No kitchen ventilator as well. The laundry room is quite dirty after Capreit took over from QuadReal. Dirty carpet in the hallways. Now and then there's the smell of marijuana.

The landlord's office only "helps" when you move in and when you need to pay. However, Michelle was helpful all the time.

I would only give one star for the location.

Definitely not a safe place to live in. A lot of security issues happening, especially in parking lots. Seeing many car damages in Scotia Tower parking lot ☹️
