The store is amazing, wonderfully redone, same with your liquor store.

Your staff, on the other hand, seem like they’d rather be dead than be working and serving the public, at both the grocery store liquor store. My goodness the general morale is bottom tier in both locations. Not good for new customers like myself trying your business for the first time. Tells me they don’t feel valued or appreciated.

Thank you Jim for having a friendly discussion with me. It's what I expect of a great business. I never have issues with Hammys and like I said, the staff is usually friendly and the meat and produce always fresh. I look forward to heading there again. 🙂

I just returned from a 9 a.m. shop at Hammy’s and my experience just reinforces why I usually go to Lacombe for my major grocery shops. The produce and meat departments are very nice with good products. However, the produce and staples are over priced. Even when they’re on sale, the prices are the same as the regular price in other grocery stores.

But, the worst part is several of the staff look like they’d rather be anywhere else than at work, or perhaps they just don’t want to work at all. I understand everyone has bad days but not all the time as is usually my experience in this store. The man who took my groceries out this morning had a scowl on his face right from when he started bagging my items to leaving after putting my items in my vehicle. He didn’t even look at me or bother to respond when I thanked him for taking out my groceries.

Clean store, with generally friendly and helpful staff. Have had friends and family tell me that they had bad experiences in the past with costumer service at times so service might very. Lose stars for price of food (obscenely high at times freson bros level) and subpar premade food options for price.

I purchased some fresh cinnamon buns from this location. I live closer to Lacombe and Blackfalds but I will be back for those alone. Brilliant!

The store is very clean, well organized and inviting. Great selection of meats, and very well taken care of produce. It was essentially immaculate. The store owner (whom I see is quite involved and spends time on here) has to be one of the best local business owners around and is going for a very specific experience that is delivered flawlessly.

I don't leave reviews often, but I had a great experience at the store. Those cinnamon buns sealed the deal; this is a GREAT grocery store.

I enjoy IGA’s bakery and they do have options that our other local grocery store doesn’t have and for that, I visit quite often. The younger cashiers are very nice, however the older ones don’t seem to happy to be there. Either that, or they’re rude to their customers. It awful feeling like I’m walking on egg shells when I enjoy visiting the store but I have to check out with a certain cashier. I had to come in for a few things and while checking out the older lady in blue kept putting my groceries back in a rude manner like I wasn’t putting them down in the order she wanted them. She was very nice to the customer before me, I can over hear them talking. As soon as she seen me on cashier #2 her face dropped, her demeanour changed and she didn’t even tell me my total or that the debit machine was ready for payment. I’m not sure what her problem was, as I was only there to get groceries. This happens on occasion, but I still visit the store though.
