We were in CB for a family reunion and the central location fit our needs perfectly. The cabins are very clean, spacious and contain everything you need for your time there. A very detailed and helpful “cheat sheet” is provided with cabin and local info (thanks for that). It was very hot and humid when we were there and the AC worked perfectly. A trail starting at the property and ending at a very private beach for those willing to put in a little effort! The eagles were entertaining and on site laundry facilities were handy.

An absolutely wonderful 1-bedroom adjoined (on one side) cottage overlooking the water - peacefully spacious surroundings away from traffic noise. Our hosts were super helpful, with immediate responses to any concerns, questions. A detailed information sheet provided excellent details, which added to our ease of settling in. Immediately we felt at home - everything was spotlessly clean, well organized/placed, and Janet provided so many extras, even some meat to feed the resident eagles! We thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the results of very carefully planned, designed, constructed and furnished accommodation. With Janet’s experience in the hospitality industry and her husband’s expert woodworking skills, they have developed spaces and furnishings that are not only very comfortable but also rather unique. Excellent hot water shower and tub, as well as water pressure. A/c was a treat and needed to control high humidity. Washer and dryer, and supplies, we’re just steps away. Everything is geared to today’s lifestyles but in an upmarket way! Windows are large, as is patio (fully equipped for outdoor entertainment/living). The views are grandly majestic - in all weathers. Janet visited us a couple of days before Hurricane Lee wrought its devastation on the Island, allowing us the option of staying or leaving. We reluctantly chose the latter and were generously provided with a full refund - their guests’ enjoyment and safety is clearly evident! Even in high winds, heavy mist, fog, downpours there was comfort and beauty all around us. Thank you both for the privilege of being in Cabin 3 - and, of course, we’d love to come back again next year!

Hector's Point did not disappoint! Janet and Rob were warm and welcoming. The cabin had all the amenities needed. The views, nature and wild life were spectacular. Hector's Point is centrally located and made it easy to travel around Cape Breton so we could visit the entire island.

We’re on a road trip from Ontario. On this trip and during the past years we stayed in many nice places, but Janet & Rod’s place is a real gem. A perfect home away home, with beautiful view and great accommodations. The place is beautifully designed, decorated and well equipped. Janet is an exceptional hostess. We had a great time and for sure would come again.

This is truely an amazing place. The cabin is clean and modern. It is equipped with everything you will need. The Eagles are spectacular. The location is great to tour Cape Breton.

What a beautiful vacation property. Exquisite design detail and workmanship was put into building these units. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hector's Point and the local community and it's offerings. We are looking forward to returning, hopefully sooner than later.
