- Renté un coche por 5 días y en general todo estuvo bien.

- Para recoger y entregar el coche es muy rápido.

- Aceptan tarjetas de crédito y débito como método de pago adicional al efectivo.

- Si tienes movilidad reducida y/o vas en silla de ruedas, te comento que el acceso para llegar al área de renta de coches es de dificultad baja.

- El lugar se encontraba visiblemente limpio.

- La atención en general fue buena.

- El área en donde se encuentran los coches es amplia.

- Tienen variedad de modelos a elegir.

Worst rental experience in my life.

Somewhat untrue, because I didn't actually get to rent a car. I reserved a 7 passenger SUV for a cross-country drive 5 days ago. I showed up to pick it up today, and was told to 'go to the President's Circle and get whatever'. There were NO cars except one compact, which was not what I paid for and not what I needed.

I went and explained this to the counter staff, who then took me to talk to the 'manager'. He asked me if I booked the car that day because apparently 'You shouldn't have been able to do that'. Cool - blame the customer. But no, I booked it 5 days in advance. They asked me if I wanted a minivan - I said sure. Then they said they didn't have one. You know what they never did once? Apologize for not having the car that I reserved. In fact, they did the opposite. They acted like it was ridiculous that I should expect to have the car that I selected on their website.

If you have any important travel plans, you cannot rely on this location. They are rude, dismissive, and completely incapable.

Edit: The manager also lied and said they hadn't charged me. I showed him the receipt, and he kept saying that even though it showed I had in fact been charged. Sure enough - there is a charge on my account. I'm done with Hertz after this. Complete joke.

We had a reservation with Avis at first. Flight into DCA was delayed, and I was not told that Avis closes at 11, so I would have to wait until the next morning to get the car. Jasmine at Hertz helped us out and she was so sweet! We just wanted to get to Baltimore since it was past midnight and we had been traveling all day. However, I do agree with other reviewers as our car only had 1/4 tank of gas and the car didn’t look like it was cleaned from the previous renter.

THE WORST PLACE to rent a car! I rent cars all the time never had this terrible experince! Every car they brought out was not cleaned at all, one car had a spill and sticky seats the next one had empty alchol bottles , weed, and a box knife, we went to talk to the staff they completely ignore you and belittle your concerns they didn’t care there is stuff in the car. Very rude and a waste of time spent 1.5 hours to get a clean normal car. I would give no stars if i could.

Looking at the reviews of this Hertz location, my experience of terrible customer service and indifference is just another in a long line of problems at this location. Hertz will likely respond and say that they appreciate the information and are working to improve but the reality is that nothing will happen because the culture and demeanor has been allowed to fester out of control. I met the “supervisor” on duty on 9/17/24 at about 630pm. She clearly couldn’t care less about our problem we encountered, never offered an apology of any kind. Staff there were lazy and unwelcoming beyond belief. This was behavior you’d expect from a low budget car lot, not one of the largest rental companies in the United States. Hertz needs to cut the head of the snake and completely eliminate management at this place and start all over with people who actually want to be there.
Leaving the facility was another nightmare. For whatever reason, it was taking the booth about an average of 10-12 minutes to out
process a car that we had already been given. We waited in line for over a half hour just to try and leave the garage. We of course had to come back because the guy at the booth kept our electronic car key and sent us off with no car key. I don’t know if all rental companies are like this in DC but I’d be willing to try anyone else to not have this same experience.

I have gold membership from hertz with president’s circle. The counter at pickup asked if I am gold membership I said yes with president’s circle. She said that I can only add spouse and coworker as additional driver so I cannot add my friend. I don’t know if it is the case. But the other thing is so ridiculous.
She said that I can only pick the car in the line written presidents circle, which had only 3 cars left. I saw golden cars and five stars all over the garage, and she said they are all booked so I cannot choose any of them. How can’t I choose? I also booked my car. And it was already 8pm what did you booked for?
Does not president circle means the highest level with the widest choosing area Why I even cannot choose from golden member area

I dropped my car last night. A guy told me a e-receipt would be delivered to me shortly and asked me to leave. Now is already one day past, I haven’t received that. I haven’t got any update on my rental app. I am still supposed to return a car.
