I’ve had an excellent experience with Hopewell Residential at Mahogany. Breann and the rest of the team were professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive to our needs throughout the entire process. when we arrived for our deficiency walk through in Hotchkiss it hadn’t been cleaned, and appliances not installed (both of these standard for final walk through). Blinds had also not been installed, only reason we purchased blinds was because of convenience, and because we would have tenants in the basement come move in date. Multiple of the issues pointed out during the deficiency walk through weren’t touched. We were notified when our fridge was installed it was dented during installation, so they ordered a new door, no big deal. During our deficiency walk through we noticed the other fridge door also had dents, the site super decided he wasn’t in the mood to order it, so you bet trail appliance called us to make an appointment to replace the fridge door, except they only had one door. Thanks to the super for doing his job. Also 3 of our cabinets in the kitchen were damaged, and these took 4 appointments to fix only to end up replacing them in the end. Fast forward to our 30 day trades day, that took closer to 90 days. At the trade day they didn’t show up with all the supplies( stain, trim paint). The painter they sent for touch ups did a horrendous job, also spilled paint on the stair carpet, no drop sheets, no paint tray( used the paint bucket lid). Very unprofessional. Half the cracked silicone didn’t get replaced after being pointed out. I had to take half a day off work unpaid. Hopewell’s only option is to bring in another “professional” from Unideco painter and drywall, was told minimum two appointments to fix the wall, Which I was lied to and told would be finished in one. Hopewells only solution is to trust the trades that have consistently dropped the ball, and given us many reasons not to, to come back into our home and try fixing the damages. The silicone between the tile back splash had cracked, after asking Thomas the warranty tech what colour needed to be used, 20mins back and forth he insisted it was clear, even though it was clearly almond. He was also the same guy who I thought was also responsible for the other trades doing adequate job, like the painting and drywall repairs. Still waiting for blinds, both fridge doors, and a front door. All I asked for was compensation so I could deal with these problems myself as I have no trust in the trades they continuously send. Hopewell Residential does not have the homeowners best interest in mind, they will waste your time, damage your home, and refuse to rectify the situation.

This was our first time buying new from the start. My Wife and I truly enjoyed the experience. Breann and Brenda were amazing. The fact that Breann went the extra mile by coming in on her time off to accommodate our schedule speaks to the level of commitment to this positive experience. We are currently building our second Hopewell home, and the process has been great. Elaine & Janet have been friendly, professional, informative, and I believe they genuinely have had our best interests at heart throughout the experience. They have been upfront and honest throughout the process. Elaine’s attention to detail has been very impressive. Every meeting she is prepared and recalls all of the details of our plans. Looking forward to our new home!

Poor quality and finishing for this builder in our recent home purchase. Warranty team is not helpful and seems to look for ways to shift blame for poor craftsmanship and quality control. We have built a number of homes in Calgary and would not recommend this builder for anyone. Check the specs with your choice of builders and compare - Hopewell does not meet the standard that we would expect for a new build.

Purchased a lot with hopewell in Hotchkiss in 2023, initial experience was great, until we took possession Nov 1st. Fast forward to December my partner and I basically have to harass hopewell regarding having no blinds. Only reason we went with them was for convenience and because we have tenants. We just wanted blinds, so either get them installed or give us our money back so we can hire someone that can do it.The bare minimum. After two months, a million apologies and no answer some big wig at Hopewell finally decided giving us our money back and covering the cost of the blinds was the right thing to do (no cheque yet) We feel slightly better. Fast forward to our 60 day trades day, well buckle up because get ready for few amateur trades people to come and damage your home, not all but a couple. The guy installed the two other cabinet doors was fantastic, he was tidy and very professional. The guys fixing a few of our doors and a pocket door, also very professional, and tidy. Then comes the painter from Unideco whom is subcontracted by Hopewell. Started out alright, I guess because no one was babysitting her, don’t worry photos will be attached for this one. She was supposed to fix a few marks on a couple walls, some we didn’t even know where there, almost wish she didn’t because they somehow looked 100 times worse after. She’s using a mini roller and small paint brush, didn’t sand anything, so now it looks like we have patches all down our stairway wall. Did I mention she didn’t even use a paint tray, just the 5 gallon paint bucket lid, that was cracked and missing edges. Not to mention she left the 5 gallon paint bucket just in the centre of the room unattended, nothing layed on the ground and at least 7 people wandering around the suite. You can imagine the stress we were feeling. She layed nothing on the staircase while she was painting the couple patches on the wall, so you could imagine our frustration when we find paint spots on our 3 month old carpet. Which looked like she attempted to clean off. At this point I just wanted these people out of our house. The warranty supervisor also decided to use clear silicone to fill the gap between our counter top and back splash even after questioning him and saying it wasn’t clear(it was almond), so now we have a nice protected crack? This wasn’t even all the issues we dealt with that day, but this review is already getting long enough. We decided no more trades from Hopewell will be entering our house, because they seem to damage more while they’re here, or just waste our time completely. At this point it’s January 25th, we’ve lived here since November 1st, we finally have the appointment to get the blinds, the installer shows up, he’s fantastic. Knows what he’s doing, very professional. Turns out the measurement for 4 of the windows that HOPEWELL sent in, were wrong. Because someone didn’t want to go in and properly measure after the drywall was installed. So today, it’s February 5th, our tenants still have temporary blinds, and two of our bedrooms upstairs have no blinds at all. Yet again, another disappointment from Hopewell Residential. We reached out to the customer experience team, which we are becoming sadly familiar with, regarding our trades day nightmare only to be told we will be getting zero reimbursements for the damages done to our house, and that we’re basically on our own with the damages at this point. They offered to have someone come fix all the damages, along with use paint thinner on the carpet on the stairs, and “trim” the paint out
of the carpet if that doesn’t work. Thank you Hopewell Residential for what could’ve all been rectified, if a little respect and consideration could’ve been shown. I will never build another home with this company, and will be sure to let anyone I know or anyone that’s interested that they shouldn’t either. No home building experience should’ve gone this poorly, it’s supposed to be a fun exciting time for people. If I could’ve added everything else I would have, but Hopewell is already aware of all the issues.

We just moved into our newly built house at Arbour Lake West this month. It took about 14 months to build. So far, we've had an outstanding experience with Hopewell for our new home construction. From start to finish, their professionalism and attention to detail were exceptional. The craftsmanship displayed in every aspect of the build met my expectations. Diana Sanchez, Customer Experience Specialist, provided great service during the construction phase. She helped accommodate all of our change requests, including last-minute exterior paint color changes. Brent, as the site supervisor, was not only knowledgeable but also helpful even after we took possession. I had a great experience working with Elaine, the sales manager, and her team. Carrie helped us select the right colors and designs. The project was completed on time, and the quality of work is truly commendable. After we moved in, we had some minor issues to fix, and the warranty team sent help. Only grading around the house has not been completed yet. Hopefully, it will be done soon. I'm thrilled with my new home and highly recommend Hopewell for their top-notch service, quality, and expertise. Thank you to all at Hopewell who helped us build our new home
