I bought a home two years ago Andrew Howard was responsible to remove the lien off the house I was told it would be done
Two years later it is still not been done and after two months of waiting and hearing nothing he still hasn’t done it !
Clearly an in competent lawyer at its best

This firm is a joke particularly Shane Kelford. As my mother was dying in the hospital I found out I had been taken off as a Power of Attorney because my mother was finally trying to get my brother to finally have to do something concerning helping out the family. When I mentioned to him via a telephone that this was very strange that this had happened he immediately flew into a rage, said he was dropping my mother as a client and that I would be receiving the forms via email to seek alternate legal representation. He also was withholding documents from me specifically my mothers last will and testament and I was not able to even see it until almost 2 months later. He also allowed my brother to ferry drafts of the will to and from my mother at her home giving him access to drafts of her will which should never have been happening. This gave him the ability to change certain content of the will. This is supposed to be confidential between the lawyer and the client only. Our previous lawyer would come to the house and see my parents privately for any matters concerning the will because both of them were so unwell. His office is literally less that a minutes drive by car from my parents address in Smiths Falls. Needless to say I was left with virtually nothing from my parents estate and it is currently in litigation as a Will Challenge.
Avoid this firm at all costs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DO NOT USE Andrew Howard to close your house. We closed on our house in January and we are still fighting hydro one and reliance home comfort because he never properly closed out our accounts (matter of fact at all). Every time we call he is out of office or unavailable. We have even stopped in at his office to try and catch him and shocker... he was not there.
We are now hundreds of dollars out because our bill was about to go to collections (last place you want things to go) and we can't get ahold of him to fix his poor workmanship. You pay a lawyer to do their job and look after these things but he clearly takes your money and doesn't care after that. Super unimpressed after just getting off the phone with yet another account that wasn't closed properly.

It took 18 months before we received an interim distribution of my Mother’s estate assets with an uncontested will, and only after an official complaint with the Law Society of Ontario, not to mention the thousands of dollars in hidden fees!
