My partner and I have recently been dealing with the asset manager from Jammu regarding potentially leasing a residential property from them. The entire process from start to finish was incredibly frustrating, and I cannot in good faith recommend anyone to actually deal with these folks in a professional manner.

The manager Karl would often take a day or more to respond to messages about their property, and when he did respond it was clear that he paid little-to-no attention to the actual content of the message we had just sent. For instance, after my partner asked to set up a showing for the property, he responded only with "Are you interested", and then when she re-iterated that she was, in fact, interested in the property (hence why we asked for a showing...), he then failed to reply for 5 days after that fact.

Later, when we were trying to finally arrange a showing, the manager failed to provide any time periods when we could arrange to view the property. We provided several times when we were available, and the manager would always respond with asking whether we were available for one specific time period OUTSIDE of the availability we provided. E.g., we said we could view a property after 5:30 pm, Karl then asked if we were free at 12pm to see the property. When we did finally agree upon a time to see the property, the manager cancelled on us the day of the viewing after we had already rearranged our whole schedules. Generally, the manager would take 10-24 hrs to respond between any of these message exchanges, which really added to the difficulty and frustration of dealing with them as potential landlords.

In the end, after we could not meet on the new time the manager had suggested after cancelling on us last minute, the manager said that they were going to "stop the showings till further notice" and apologized for the "inconvenience". We have dealt with many landlords over the years as long-term renters, and this experience was undoubtedly one of the least professional and most frustrating to date. I suggest the folks at this company focus less on growing their "real estate portfolio" and take a page out of the book of learning how to be decent landlords that treat (potential) clients with dignity and respect.
