It should have been the easiest house sale ever, and yet…

My cousins, Toronto realtors, referred my huband and me to Jessica Plamondon as the realtor in the Halifax area, whom they would trust with their own move. As we began our interactions, Jessica was as personable and knowledgeable as I expected.

When we called Jessica, we’d already picked the house; it was simply a matter of negotiating the price and closing date. Or so we thought.

Returning to Canada after years of living abroad, there were a few legal hoops to jump through when buying a home that Jessica helped us navigate. She was accommodating to flight schedule fluctuations and time zone issues.

However, Jessica is a standout realtor because this deal went sideways in ways that were unexpected by everyone involved. If it was odd and could rear its ugly head, this transaction did that. There were—and I can’t reiterate this enough—some very unusual circumstances with this transaction, but we did it! We bought the house. We love the house.
