My wife and I worked with Josh to make the move from Vancouver to Victoria. The fact that we weren’t on the ground in on the Island made the process a bit more complicated than usual. As well, this was our first house purchase and we felt a great deal of pressure to make the perfect decision. I can’t really say enough good things about Josh. He came recommended by a builder friend of mine and from the very first point of contact via text, to our first call, through the entire process of finding and purchasing our home (hundreds of touch points- maybe thousands) Josh was amazing. At the outset, he took the time to really get to know us, to under what we wanted in a home, both in terms of its features but also what our home ownership values were more generally. This gave us a great deal of confidence as we started seriously looking at different listings.

Because we couldn’t be on the Island to view many of the homes we were considering, Josh would not only share his well-considered opinions about the homes we were interested in, he would visit the listing and make very comprehensive video walk-throughs of the properties and include all kinds of good information so we could decide if it was worth making the trip from Vancouver to see a house.

Josh has tons of insight about the housing market on the Island and also has years of experience as a tradesperson. This aspect of working with him is so valuable. He is able to share all kinds of information and insights that the average realtor could not because he’s been a builder in the past.

Once we’d found our home Josh did a yeoman’s job of guiding us through the negotiation process. We felt confident with the market advice he gave us and he never seemed to get tired of the hundreds of questions and considerations we brought to him. He did an excellent job collaborating with our mortgage broker which helped to make a highly stressful process less so. As well, he works with a team of folks who are equally skilled and professional in their roles.

Finally, Josh is just a really good guy. He genuinely cares, he’s patient, is easy to talk to, gets back to you when he says he’s going to, looks you in the eye when he shakes your hand, and has gone above and beyond for us in so many ways. If you’re looking for a realtor to work with who will help you find the exact house you’re looking for, even if you don’t know what that looks like at this moment, Josh is your guy!
