My husband and I built our home with Laebon last September.
At first we were uncertain whether we wanted to buy a new home, renovate an old home, or build.
We chose to build with Laebon because we both fell in love with the floor plan of the show home and the location of Timber Ridge was ideal for both my husband and I getting to work.
From the beginning they were great to work with. Aaron the salesman never pressured us to make a decision, or try to sell us an upgrade we weren't needing or wanting. He was always there to answer any questions we had and walked us through each step of the initial selection process.
We chose to have the realtor working with Laebon sell our current home as that meant we would not need to move twice and it actually saved us on closing costs. The realtor was amazing and our house sold with the first showing.
Sam was the interior designer that worked with us to pick out paint colours, cabinets, flooring, lighting, you name it and she was there. Our house became totally custom for us and what we wanted and she helped bring my Pinterest visions to life.
Finally Marty was the project manager during the building of the house. He was always available if we had any questions and regularly checked in with all the different trades.
We feel we have a quality build with Laebon and through every step of the way they heard us, worked with us and my husband and I couldn't recommend them enough.

I've built with Laebon 3 times. Due to location, I built my newest home with a different builder. I've always enjoyed Laebon, but it wasn't until I experienced building with another company that I realized how "together" Laebon has things. I would recommend building with Laebon for any style of home. I can only speak to the employees prior to 2023, but they were helpful and had clear communication, and the trades did good quality work.

This was our first new build and in fact the first time we had ever moved since we were married. We had lived in Calgary at the same place for 42 years before contacting Laebon to build our new home in Red Deer.

We had heard from friends and acquaintances regarding their experiences with other builders over the years so we went in with our eyes wide open. We were expecting delays and all sorts of other related issues around getting a home built. Virtually nobody ever took possession on time.

However, we have nothing but positive things to say about Laebon. They were totally up front about everything and used an app called Buildertrend to map out all the schedules and progress throughout the build. Our project manager Dustin was on top of everything right from the start to completion. Because we were renting in Red Deer while our house was being built, we can attest to that. If one aspect of the house was delayed because of supply chain or sub-contractor shortage, he would get something else completed. Therefore the build continually pushed forward. Laebon consistently met or exceeded all expectations as well as exceeding all builder codes. To make a long story short, our possession date was a full 2 weeks earlier than first projected. All the sub-contractors and businesses were friendly and easy to work with. They offered several helpful suggestions and never tried to up-sell us.

We would not hesitate to recommend Laebon if you were considering a new build. We were very impressed and happy with our entire experience.

We took possession of our home earlier in December but the entire home building process started in March/April 2022. Right from the start, Laebon was incredibly responsive to the questions that we had. We went through all of the must haves and were able to add the nice to haves to our new home. The costs were always communicated with us. We are incredibly happy with our new home. The selections we could choose from were great, all of the subcontractors/suppliers we dealt with were great and made the whole process really easy. The lines of communication were always open on either side. We were also willing to make some minor adjustments to keep things moving along (as in changing the color of the door hardware, super minor). If I had to choose something, one criticism would be the costs of some of the upgrades (albeit I am a contractor's daughter). We asked Laebon to price out installing a garage heater and framing a man-door in the garage but did not go ahead with it due to costs. That being said, we also did a TON of other upgrades that we are VERY happy with (highly recommend doing 9' ceilings on the main floor). The other minor comment I would make is that the appliances that are part of the basic package are very low end. We were always planning to upgrade our stove to a gas range but ended up upgrading the dishwasher as well as it just wasn't going to work for us. Overall, we are very happy with our new home. This was our first time building a home and our first Laebon home and we have no complaints. There are a couple of warranty items outstanding but I can imagine that some are delayed due to supply chain and the others are put on hold until spring (exterior work). I will make a note that if I were to email the office today about any of them I would also get a response today! My piece of advice would be to communicate and ask questions! Laebon can't read your mind. Schedule those walk throughs, send those emails, make those phone calls. This is your home, make sure it's how you want! Great services and quality apartment with fully kitted unit with washer+dryer. The neighbours are quiet and no one ever caused me any issues. Managers help me as soon as a problem comes up with wear and tear inside the house, and always inform us of any changes promptly, especially in these trying times. If you need quality care and services, laebon should be your go to.
