We camped out at Lake Godstone for a weekend, everything was incredible! The views were great, the stars were amazing, plenty of big catfish and blue gills to catch. The owner Jim came out to meet us. He was very kind and offered lots of information. We will definitely be back!

My family, along with my parents and sisters family, came to visit lake Godstone and stayed in the Guest House. There was 6 adults and 5 kids. It was the perfect place! The kids loved walking the trails and seeing the wild life. It was a fun get away that was a short drive from DFW. We cooked and enjoyed many memories together!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Lake Godstone. The Captain’s Cabin was roomy with a luxury king-size mattress/bed. Some of the additional amenities were full size refrigerator, large bathroom, and plenty of closet/storage space. The cabin was also fully internet accessible with a computer, printer, and large screen tv. We absolutely loved the spacious front porch that opened to the lake and the large fire pit. We fished, saw lots of deer, and marveled at the beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

This place is choice! As soon as reservation was made, received a text from the owner with specific instructions and a welcoming. Love that! Decided to go on a Sunday. Great decision! Place was nearly empty. Couple nice families but mostly had the place to ourselves. It was September mind you but still. Bathrooms were clean, stocked and accessible from our site. Each site is multi tiered. Upper and lower camp site. Lower has the amenities w/ on site grill, electric and water plus they all have amazing (large stone) fire pits. Perfect for campfire stories and s’mores. They pulled the gulf cart right up upon arrival. The couple that manage the place are warm and friendly and eager to assist. WiFi is free and available. Management is a simple text message away. You can rent equipment (kayak, peddlers, row boats and gulf carts on the website. Life jackets are available for free use. Docks to jump off of. Cool rock formations to climb. Huge cross overloooks the entire place from the hill at the center and biblical scripture’s are engraved in rocks around the site. Obviously ran by Christian values and owners. Soccer goal, basketball rim and sand volleyball courts for amusement and entertainment. Fire pits throughout the place. They also have bird watching cabins and areas perfect for quick retreats and relaxation time. We had a blast! Love to look into membership to the lodge and get access to the gun range (members only). Great spot (not too far out) for a quick outing. Not much around store wise but certain amenities are available at the office like firewood and ice and basics. Decided to drone a bit and wanted to drop a raving review. Plan on forming relationships with owners and making it a go to spot for the future. Perfect 10

We just finished up our 5th year of Owen Adventures (our family reunion) at Lake Godstone. It is such a special time at a special property. We book the Lodge and have about 30 people each year. The kids AND the adults take full advantage of the lake right outside the front door. Our days are full of early morning walks, canoe and kayak ventures, fishing and games all day and late into the night. Ages ranged from 3-75 this year and everyone loves it. The owner Jim is so knowledgeable and can give so much information about his land management and plans for the future. Carol and Dom are on-site managers and can help you with any special requests or needs. We never leave the property and cook our meals. The kitchen is well stocked and clean. I wholeheartedly recommend this location!!

Jim, you know your moto, "An Experience, not a Destination...Connecting Families to Nature" says it all. We booked the lodge, and it was the center point of all of activities. The kids, this includes adult kids too, enjoyed swimming, fishing, boating while the adults, parents set comfortably on lodge deck with all activities in view. This naturally brought our families together and gave the parents some security. The lodge is beautiful inside & out, clean, modern and has everything you need. Our host were very accommodating and were available to us throughout our stay. This year's Hill Family Reunion was a total success and built some lasting memories. My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Lake Godstone. Carol and Dom were very friendly and helpful. The campground and restrooms were very clean. We stayed at the treehouse campsite. Our grandkids loved the treehouse and swings. We do plan on camping there again.

This is our family reunion spot every July. It has a beautiful vibe to it. Very quite and calm water. Wonderful swimming spot for all the cousins. Great sitting area for family talks. One of my favorite places we go yearly!
