I have moved into 285 Dufferin Street (X02) Condos.

The build quality for a brand new unit (been three months since I moved in) is outright horrendous.

I have had mold issues, broken things, badly aligned things and many more to list here. It’s unbelievable. Don’t buy or rent in units built by Lifetime Developments

Pathetic builder. Badly managed and total lack of customer service. Charged us hefty development fees after closing citing omission on their part.

My unit at XO still got no functioning bathroom fans and 4 months after closing. I go with them back and forth every week and they give me the usual excuses by saying "they are at the mercy of the trades"

This is a group that does not know customer service nor how to manage their contractors.

Never buying again from them!

Update : Updating my preview from 1 star to excellent 5 Stars because "Jonathan " from LifeTime Development came in person to investigate the construction guy and corrected the situation right away .

I was impressed with how Jonathan dealt with it professionally , very pleased with the outcome .

Avoid this builder
Several problems
First of all
There was a leakage on the unit and dishwasher has leakage
They don’t care and all laminate lift up.
At closing time the builder didn’t send closing date to me and just send for lawyer .
I didn’t know closing date and a week before I understand and hasn’t enough time to get mortgage i asked them for some days extension but they refused to get the unit back.
In last minute i got private loan and around 20000 cost.
This is the personality of this builder
Please just think if it happens for you you will involve court and even after several years waiting lost your unit.
We have to trust this builder and pay them but they can’t wait some days!!!?

Do NOT buy a property from this builder. Stick with the big name brand builder. They wont do anything unethical and odd, such as coming back to the buyer 3-4 months after the final closing for a reassessment of development closing cost because they made an error. I have to get a second mortgage to make up their mistake, 14K FOR 1 BEDROOM. Never in my life had I had something like this happen to me after buying many precons. Disappointed.

The quality of their developments is quite poor. They rush things, use lower quality materials, and seem to rely on shortcuts. I've never had so many issues with a condo unit and the Tarion list was exhaustive and took forever to resolve.

The only bright spot is that their customer service is good and they're helpful.

EXTREMELY UPSETTING EXPERIENCE.

The customer relations team will not pick up your calls, will ignore your emails, and make you follow up on every single call and email over and over again.

Company should consider revamping their customer experience and values as they do not meet the standards (especially since the building is advertised as luxury condo- why can't your staff present the same quality?).
